Re: Who will win WC 2010?
I agree that Brazil is the most likely winner. But that's exactly how things looked like in 2005 also, a year before the last WC, when Brazil just had won the Confed Cup. A lot can happen in a year, but on current form, Brazil look like the team to beat.

germany
when we find another decent central defender, and some midfielders (Özil, Frings) show at there clubs that they can improve germany
if not
brasil (brasil have in every part really good players, looking more balanced then the 2006 side, and they know how to win WC)

Re: Who will win WC 2010?
I think (on paper) Spain & Argentina are the two strongest sides.
I'll go for Spain, I not so sure they actually will, but I'll pick them as I believe they are the strongest side (just as I said before the 2008 Euros)

Re: Who will win WC 2010?
Is it possible to bet against teams winning it ? because if it is then I will bet big that Spain don't. Im quite sure if Spain runs into Brazil or a side that plays like them that they will struggle mightly. Just look at the game against a poor Italy in Quarters last year and that was even without Pirlo in midfield.

Give it up.
England or Brazil. If it's anyone else i'll be shocked.

Re: Who will win WC 2010?
If they award the trophy based on hype then England and Argentina are standout favourites.
If its a football tournament then Brazil are heavy favourites with Spain probably second.
I would like us to avoid Bosnia, USA and South Africa should all these teams get there.
I think we will draw or scrape very unconvincing wins at home to Belarus and Croatia and may even lose in the Ukraine which will bring a lot of our fans back to earth.

The Euro theory and the big 4 plus hosts theory make the only possible winners Brazil & Argentina.

Would really expect us to beat these two. They rely on strength more than anything and England is better than them in that regard.
Wouldn't Brazil struggle against a team that can defend. They seem to now play for the counter attack.

Re: Who will win WC 2010?
Brazil, that side is so crap compared to previous sides, but its perfect for these days. Then England.
Personally I hope a footballing side wins again like in 2008 but we all knew what happened to Spain and Argentina in 2006. If it was 1990 I would put my money on Spain and Argentina, sadly that is not the case anymore. Though according to the stats Argentina will win it now and in 2014.

I thought some of SA's passing football in the Confed Cup was beyond anything we can produce and USA as a team are much better than their individuals.

Re: Who will win WC 2010?
Voted Argentina. They have too many good players. Otherwise Spain, Brazil, maybe Germany or England.
