Wolfsburg starting XI > Bayern starting XI

Their starting XI can be a challenge for most teams. No key players lost (the squad was actually strengthened), the players are used to each other, and they have a number of really good players with a ton of potential.

i saw their 1st two games of the season and they are wonderful to watch, their front two should be the any argument about the best strike partnership in Europe, i would love to have dzeko in barca 2/3 years from now.

i think they will do well in the league, but will have no chance in europe with there style and zero experience, and they are seeded in the last pot for the cl draws

i dont believe they have the better starting11, i say they have the better package atm, they are settled, unlike bayern where vangaal just begins what felix started 2 years ago

To be fair Dzeko does look quality. He has the usual useful attributes of any big striker (tall, strong, good in the air, handful etc), but he's also pacey, skillful, and a good finisher with either foot.

Haven't watched him regularly enough, but from what I've seen he has no obvious weaknesses in his game.

They have the better goal keeper.

They have the better central defence also. Bayern have the better fullbacks.

Their midfield is way more balanced, and their attacking trident is the best in the league, and one of the best in Europe. In contrast to Bayern, Wolfsburg actually have the right players for the diamond, the system Van Gaal 'forces' them to play. So all in all, their first XI is stronger than Bayern's.

They lack experience in Europe, and not being seeded is a disadvantage also, of course. So it remains to be seen how they will do in their first season in the CL. However, if they click and don't show too much respect, they will be very difficult to play against, especially for "bigger' clubs. They are very deadly on the counter.

Potentially, I can see them doing a Leverkusen 2002, if they can keep their team together for a bit longer, like it seems they will.

Dzeko is great, but it's not just him though. Grafite is excellent also, as is Misimovic, the league's top assister.

Misimovic is actually from the Bayern youth. Ironically, he is exactly the type of player Bayern need now, a real #10, a playmaker for their diamond which they lack. Ribery will stubbornly move to the flanks, where he is strongest. He is no playmaker.

Funny that Grafite played for the little city of Le Mans before joining Wolfsburg. I remember they were so happy to have him when he signed. Grafite-Dzeco is certainly one of the best strikeforce in Europe.

Back to the topic: in no order my three teams would be Real, Barca and Juve. Man utd, Chelsea close behind followed by Inter.
