Oh dear. Even when it comes to banning an ageing Man U squad player the FA bottle it, and how Bellers got away with hitting someone for no reason I cannot explain.

He didnt hit hit, he pushed him away with his hand when he thought the guy was going to go for him.

Goat, he walked over to a man who was already restrained and gave him a slap.
All this stuff about 'thinking he was going to go for him' - Bellamy approached the guy. If anything, he was the aggressor. Seriously, don't try to defend him just because he's your player, he got away with providing a very, very poor example to the people watching.

For not sending off Craig Bellamy? No, I don't think so.

He shouldnt have gone over but he did so just to tell him to fuck off, Bellamy was obviously very upset, and only pushed him when he felt threaterned. Jesus if you call that a slap i hope you never end up in a fight mate. The c**t who invaded the pitch and broke the law was the aggressor, he shouldnt have even been there. Bellamy did just what a number of players have done in the past including the great Brian Clough.

you're havin' a laugh Goater. If that's what you call self defence at City then it's no wonder Barton thought he could do that to Dabo Incase you didn't know Goats i believe slapping a stranger is against the law also.
Brian Clough did not hit a guy while the guy was being held by 4 men.

Thanks for patronising me but I've been in fights. The point isn't the extent of the violence.

If some dickhead comes out of a nightclub and shouts something dumb, and a bouncer grabs him and tells him to sort his shit out, and I walk across the street, go up to him and slap him (however softly), it is assault. If I, as a well paid, famous and heavily protected person do that in front of tens of thousands of people who respect me, and millions more watching on the TV, it makes me a c**t.
No different for Bellamy.

The guy made an aggressive move towards him and Bellamy just pushed him away....its hardly anything.
I guess we will have to just disagree on it mate

Re: The Manchester Derby 09/10 !
That's the latest goal in the Prem since 2006/2007 apparently.
Of course, not all games with loads of stoppages have goals in that period but the latest in a couple of years seems incredible for a game without anything out of the ordinary in the way of stoppages.
Good news for City though - if Gary Neville has escaped a ban then Adebayor must be in the clear.

Or at worst will get a fine that it'll take him about 3 hours to pay off.

Re: The Manchester Derby 09/10 !
Surprisingly, the FA have also decided not to charge Man. Utd. for the coin thrown at Garrido...have other clubs been charged for such incidents in the past? Or are they just trying to wave away everything about this game

This isn't an either/or. It's basically saying the same thing twice.
Get over it, your club are just as much part of the referee-benefit elite as Man Utd...

Re: The Manchester Derby 09/10 !
I meant that as a genuine question, not as dossier material.
Does the FA usually charge a club when someone in the crowd throws objects at players, or do they only look to punish the individual?
Because if they do charge clubs for failing to control the crowd, then I don't understand why they aren't doing it in this case.

Maybe they should be given a £1,500 fine like Spain did for being racists.

The coin wasnt aimed for Garrido so that makes it ok.
