Can only be a matter of time before some club goes for him. McClaren's impressive results with Twente must wake up someone. Didn't do a bad job at Boro either.

I'm sorry, but doing well in Dutchyland doesn't make him a good manager. I'm sure a championship club will be interested.

van Gaal fucked it up with a more talented national side. Sometimes managers make mistakes, sure he had to qualify....On the other hand Twente has good management, dunno how much he had to say in Boros succesfull period. Look at Boro now! The c**ts!

He did a good job here. Won us a trophy, got us in Europe twice..highest ever league finish.
Just played some shit football along the way and messed about some of the fan favourites. Which is never a good idea.
The England job came far too soon for him, it was a shame.

Look at Redknapp's jobs compare to that of foreigners Ramos and the rest. In England we don't rate our managers as highly as we should. IMO Mclaren should be in for one of the bigger jobs.

It is so hard to overlook the mess he made of the England job, but then again there are plenty of better managers who have been terrible at certain points in their career. Look at Hiddink failing to qualify with a very good Russia squad.
It's hard to see any top EPL side wanting him. Maybe the Everton job will be available soon.

Doubt it. Moyes has done a exceptional job, just doesnt have the finances available to take the team to the next level.

I wasn't thinking he will be sacked, more that he will get fed up with the lack of progress and look for something new.
Maybe McLaren will be the next Bayern manager. Now that would be wonderful.

He made a mess but he was unlucky at points as well. The interviews, unbrella incident, press and Capello made him look worse than he was. We beat Russia 3-0 at home and were winning in Russia before a dodgy pen changed things. Against Croatia at home so many injuries. He made mistakes but he's always been a good coach and now he's earnt some respect i reckon he's a safer bet than a random foreigner these clubs seem to always turn to.
City, Everton and maybe Pool could all be avaliable in the next year.

Yeah that's a possibility, but where's Moyes going to go? No top 4 team is going to take him on, maybe some average team abroad?
McClaren reputation will forever been in tatters after England failed to qualify for the Euro's.

I think if the City or Pool jobs did become available Jose will be the first choice and he would take both. I doubt he wants to stay in Italy.

According to him he wants to manage in England, Spain and Portugal. Talk about keeping your options open!

Yeah if we got rid of Hughes Jose would be number one choice and offered a big contract to take the job. I think he would like the challenge and would take it.

As much as I'd hate it, I can see Jose quite enjoying the idea of managing Liverpool.COTR #6 wrote:L r dd wrote:

He's done better than I thought at Twente. Thought he'd fail there and be crawling back to a Championship job in 6 months.
Still couldn't see a top 4 team going for him (at one point he was looking like Ferguson's likely successor), but maybe someone along the lines of Everton, West Ham if the job came up. Even Newcastle, maybe..

Yeah, good idea, when we get promoted we should kick our manager out the door and bring in Mr average ginger fuckface. Great idea. I'll pass thanks.

Yeah because that's what I said
Notice the bit which says 'if the job comes up'. I wasn't advocating sacking Moyes or Zola either - just giving examples of clubs of kind of stature who might go for McClaren. I could have said Villa, but the thought makes me ill.

Kind of stature? You mean midtable shitkickers with no ambition? This is fucking insulting.

Are you just trawling for things to be offended by?
Okay, if you prefer, I will concede that you are in a completely different league of stature to the likes of West Ham, Everton and Villa
Btw, I heard Harewood scored a couple yesterday. Did he actually play well?

It was a good game for him, that is just one game though. I would still send him back at the moment.

Maybe Rangers or Celtic then - they don't seem averse to gingers managing. Although the fact he's managed England might work against him..
