From a statistical point of view this ranking is good but from a real point of view using these rankings can be misleading. Some countries like Australia, Mexico, USA and even S.Korea play against totally poor teams, so it's easier for them to get high rankings. Beside, the host nations have always qualified from their groups, no matter their rankings..

Re: Rate the groups
Gosh I usually write small paragraphs but fuck it it’s the world cup
Group A: Not an easy game group for France (but better be there than the group of Portugal or Germany. Playing against the host nation is never a good thing, but S.A are an average team (84th). Mexico are a very good team and Uruguay are not bad as well (Forlan). If Domenech is still in charge or team doesn't improve greatly an early exit is totally possible. Good think for France Ribery & Benzema will be fresh.
Group B: Interesting group with 4 different continents represented. Argentina should qualify, followed by Nigeria or Greece. Nigeria have won the last WC-21 if my memory is good so they should have some quality youngsters in addition of their key players. It will also be like playing at home since there are lots Nigerians living in South African (probably selling dope or stolen cars).
Group C:
Quite an easy group for England and no real tricky games except against the U.S.A, which I am sure, will be really eager to win. Soccer against Football, football will win. England will top it comfortably, U.S.A should finish second. Algeria aren’t any special, mainly French players that had zero chances to be called up by Domenech.
Group D:
Probably one of the toughest groups, since Australia, Germany and Ghana all qualified from their respective groups in 2006. Serbia are a bit like old Yugoslavia teams: unpredictable. They have lots of good players (Vidic, Stankovic, Jovanovic to name a few), but they think too much they are great (coach and players) and except finishing ahead of France in the qualifying round they didn't do anything special nor they impressed me that much. We beat them 2-1 in France and drew 1-1 over there, even with our goalkeeper sent off after 13 minutes for absolutely nothing). Ghana really play as a team and are very physical. They were a joy to watch during the last world cup. Germany shouldn't underestimate them. Finally, with Australia you never know but the players aren't what they used to be (Viduka and Kewell were on top of their form), Cahill's very good but injury prone. Germany should top but it won't be easy.
Group E
Interesting group as well, with lots of different styles: Japan play the counter attack and are very fast, the Cameroon players are physical and gifted, The Danes quite physical but not too technique, while the Dutch have a bit of everything. Cameroon have a great team with lots of players playing in the E.P.L, but I see Holland topping this group. They are likely to have lots of fresh players at that time and this might be an advantage for them (V.N.R, Huntelaar, Robben, Rafael van der Vaart being either often injured or on the bench).
Group F
Superb easy group for Italy, which reminds me of the one Arsenal got this year in the champions league. It is good thing for Italy not to play 3 super competitive games in a row, because they will be able to rest some key players if they are already qualified after the second game, which will clearly be an advantage for them later in the competition. Italy also usually take a while to get started during W.C so meeting New Zealand, the mighty defensive Paraguay and Slovakia shouldn't be too dangerous and difficult for them.
Group G
Not the most-even group, but the nicest in terms of match intensity and competitiveness from a neutral point of view.
Maybe the only group football specialists know almost 3 of the 4 likely lines-up. Brazil-Portugal-Ivory-Coast, the Brazilians against the European Brazilians (Ronaldo) and the African Brazilians (Drogba, Gervinhno).......... and maybe the Asian Brazilians (Park).
Who will be second behind Brazil? Either Ivory Coast or Portugal. Portugal remind me of France, they have the talents, but an incompetent manager.
Group H
Walkover games for Spain, bloody easy group. Who will finish second? Who gives a fuck.

USA are a better team. They got to the confed final and were beating Brazil 2-0. Paraguay could not do that. People always underestimate the USA, and while they are not techinically amazing....and they don't have the biggest names, they have a great TEAM, and enough decent players to match big teams.
They have a better mentallity, probably a better coach, better team ethic, better spirit, i believe they'll probably work harder and be more drilled on set pieces. And they have numerous talented goalkeepers as well. People overlook all this stuff with them.

Re: Rate the groups
Rating from hardest to easiest
Tough groups
D: Germany, Australia, Serbia, Ghana
For me this is the real group of death cause nobody really stands out in this group. Australia is a tough team, you wont beat them easily they wont beat you easily. Germany always has problems with former Yugoslavia states and Ghana is with Ebony Coast the best team in Africa.
G: Brazil, North Korea, Ivory Coast, Portugal
You would say its between Brazil, IC and Portugal..but North Korea has nukes unlike the others so...gonna be a tough call!
A: South Africa, Mexico, Uruguay, France
France looks great on paper( Ribeye, Benzeman, Ben Arfa, Nasi ) but havent played great in ages. South Africa is the worst african country on this tourny but are the freckin host, so never rule them out. Cant really say who will get through this group.
Mediocre groups.
E: Netherlands, Denmark, Japan, Cameroon
You would say it will be Holland and Cameroon/Denmark. But all depends on how fit RVP and Kuyt are in June. We beat Japan recently 3-0 or so but they played some really good football for a while. So this could be a very interesting group.
B: Argentina, Nigeria, South Korea, Greece
You would say Argentina is gonna run this group cause Greece are poor but annoying to break down and can bore the opponent to death. Nigeria will be second cause South Korea didnt improve after 2002.
H: Spain, Switzerland, Honduras, Chile
Spain will walk it, but not as easy as people think. Of course Hondenras is a joke, but Switzerland are very frustrating, and they have Blatter so Chile might not come 2nd afterall.
Easy Groups
F: Italy, Paraguay, New Zealand, Slovakia
Well Italy and Paraguay you would say, but I recently saw the latter and they are awful! So perhaps them Slovaks can snatch 2nd place. New Zealand will be full of fail.
C: England, United States, Algeria, Slovenia
I rate this group the easiest cause the quality between England and the next best thing USA is just too big. Yes Slovenia beat Russia and Slovakia but England will get 9 points for sure! Algeria is just there to annoy EMP!
I: Ireland
If it wasnt for the corrupt fuckos
Easy Groups
