    Surprised to see a decent crowd has turned up for the Juve-Napoli game. And this is what is required of the Juve fans at this time.

    I assumed it was the Napoli fans, they must take every opportunity to get out of their crime infested shite hole of a city.

    Napoli always seems to be lacking some confidence against bigger sides, even they have momentum and capabiltiies on their side. I just turned on the game, not surprised by the scoreline tbh.

    Napoli are flopping it again. Juve are winning. The old lady of Turin tames the kids of Naples. That said, what a hilarious decision to stick with Ciro. Doh

    FT: Juventus 3-0 Napoli

    A decent win for Juve even though it is Coppa tie. If nothing more the team will go into the weekend game with more encouragement and confidence.

    The players finally stood up for the coach. It was good to see Diego getting a decent game. Thankfully it was a error free game from Melo. And again a good performance from Caceres.

    Yeah! He combined well with Diego today. Ferrara should play them together more often though it will require a very solid midfield to support them

    Tarun how fit is delps?
    He looked raul-slow at times tonight... like he alone was running in deep mud while all about him were on firm ground. A bit of a worry.

    I think Juve have the tools to do solid in midfield. On paper Sisokko (??) and Melo is huge.

    True! He has slowed down, partly because of age and also the lack of match fitness. As always, the more time he gets the better he will become. But it has always been his technical abilities that are his forte. He and Diego bring the much needed creativity that has been our weakness for a while now.

    With Sissoko back, we should again go back to the 4231 that worked well for us.

    ---------------Sissoko-----Melo---------------
    Del Piero------------Diego----------Marchisio
    ----------------------Amauri-------------------

    Amauri works very hard but has been missing his finishing and decent service from team-mates.
    Soon Iaquinta will be back and then there would be some competition for the starting spot. It should bring the best out of these 2

    No bullshit, Mancini actually inquired.

    He fit in under Spalletti, but hes clearly not the preferred choice under Ranieri. His form in the beginning of the year was Baptistaesque but then he bounced back a bit before losing his job permanently to Cassetti. And its not that Cassetti's been brilliant, hes had his moments but rather the team mechanism is working so well why fuck with it?

    The problem isnt that theyre sending him on loan – its that theyre sending him to a club which, if they like what they see, can make Roma and offer which they simply cannot refuse. Loan, yes, Man City, no.

    Great end to end stuff!

    I've already mentally prepared myself for Morimoto scoring in the second half. Great player. I was in my own little world for a second thinking about Roma's 2015 frontline:

    ----------F.Totti--------
    ---Morimoto---Okaka---

    Christian Totti will have replaced Francesco by 2020.

    Glad the Fulham loan deal fell through with Okaka Chuka. His technique is being put in a golden frame today and displayed for all to see.

    FT 1-0. DDR goal.

    Nice little midweek run. Even nicer when Catania were down to 9 men. Just couldnt handle Okaka Chuka tonight, too strong, too skillful and too fast. I dont know why Pierre isnt on this kid's radar. Ale

    Could have gone into double figure range tonight, some of the misses were laughable, and we were all laughing at the Roma board because we had Catania down to 8 outfield players. Perrotta wont get a pass for missing an open goal this weekend.

    De Rossi was good! Finally! Commanding performance from him - Spraying balls in all sorts of glorious directions, winning back possession and he even had time to rattle the post from 40 yards along with a nicely taken side footer just inside the area.

    Morimoto is Catania's Rooney - Cant wait to see him unleashed against Rigobert Song at the World Cup. Coppa Italia thread 2010 Icon_smile

    After il derby, tomorrow we have the derby d'italia, a more bitter rivalry.

    Inter take on Juve in the quarters of the coppa. Eto'o makes his return to the squad, likely o start. Wonder whether Mou will try out the 4213 again, with Sneijder just behind 3 strikers. Also, I hope Zanetti gets some well deserved rest... he is 36, Mou should stop playing him every 3 days!

    We need to see some rotation, some playing time for Toldo, Crisetig, Quaresma, Arnautovic, Balotelli, Cordoba & Materazzi.

    The squad:
    Goalkeepers: 1 Francesco Toldo, 12 Julio Cesar, 21 Paolo Orlandoni;

    Defenders: 2 Ivan Cordoba, 4 Javier Zanetti, 6 Lucio, 13 Maicon, 23 Marco Materazzi, 25 Walter Samuel, 39 Davide Santon;

    Midfielders: 7 Ricardo Quaresma, 8 Thiago Motta, 10 Wesley Sneijder, 11 Sulley Muntari, 19 Esteban Cambiasso, 48 Lorenzo Crisetig;

    Forwards: 9 Samuel Eto'o, 22 Diego Milito, 27 Goran Pandev, 45 Mario Balotelli, 89 Marko Arnautovic.

    main teams playing for both teams, which is a bit surprising! Can't believe the energy the likes of Zanetti is putting in, specially after their effort in the milan game.
