    Saturday, 27 February 2010
    Birmingham v Wigan
    Bolton v Wolverhampton
    Burnley v Portsmouth
    Chelsea v Man City
    Stoke v Arsenal

    Sunday, 28 February 2010
    Liverpool v Blackburn
    Sunderland v Fulham
    Tottenham v Everton

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Some very good games again with it all being about the race for fourth:

Chelsea Vs City will be very interesting, no doubt Wayne Bridge will be "ill" for it Rolling Eyes If he can't be at the same hotel as Terry how can he be on the same pitch for 90 minutes?!

Mancini has had a disgraceful time so far at City, transforming them into a decent counter-attaking team to some sort of Italian team that lacks spine and ambition. A heavy defeat would put him in serious trouble IMO - we could see another Scolari situation.

Chelsea will be without Cech and City may have Tevez and Bellamy back so it wont be easy but I expect Chelsea to win .

Spurs have a tough fixture vs Everton and if Everton win they could claw themselves into a late race for 4th. Everton will be deflated though after their usual cup exit and IMO Spurs will do them and make it a miserable week.

Liverpool must win their game, if we can't beat Blackburn at home then it's a disgrace. We're getting players back so there's no excuses, hopefully Torres will start and score another wonder goal to silence Fat Sam.

    Football Ale

Mancini has turned Citeh into a team almost as dull as Liverpool!
F365 seem to think that he's doing a McCleish and things will improve in the longer term but I'm not so sure. If he doesn't change soon then I suspect he'll be out of a job. The football they're currently playing won't do too much for their global brand.

Problem is, they'll probably get someone in with an equally dire footbaling philosophy - Mourinho.

    Cook is clueless.

Mourinho knows how to win though and lets not forget Mourinho signed Drogba, just for that alone he should be applauded.

I actually think Mourinho could go to City because he'd have unlimited funds, the two would be a good match for each other. I'd be very surprised if Mancini is still the manager by the start of next season, unless they get 4th which might not even be enough.

Minor weekend in the race for fourth as the key competitor doesn't have a league game Wink

Hopefully Spurs draw, City lose and Liverp0-0l.

Big weekend for Sunderland, Bolton and Burnley who all really need to get home wins if they are to survive.

Also a good chance for Arsenal to gain ground on Utd.

Mancini's in a bad spell but he's hardly had a chance to make the team his own. Fourth place would definitely see him keep his job, and he might be okay so long as he stays in the race. However, he will get big pressure in the next few weeks if he doesn't start winning more.

I just can't believe they're going to be so ridiculously impatient with managers as to sack another one after just a few months.

Why not? They sacked Hughes for losing 2 games, Mancini has lost more, has played IMO worse football and if you believe some reports has lost some of the players. Chelsea have had several managers in a short space of time. The fact is once the owner beleives his team should be conquering the world then he wont tolerate any sort of failure, finishing below 4th will definately see Mancini sacked.

I think the midweek game will definitely work against them. Plus, they've got themselves into safe, comfortable midtable zone. Should be a comfortable Arsenal win

Hughes had the problem of low global reputation from the start. He did okay but not well enough in his first season so was sacked for more than just losing a couple of games this time.

Chelsea a little bit different as they started hopping between managers when they were already in a very strong position in terms of squad, European pedigree, etc. City need someone to get them to that point as Mourinho did, but they're going to have to give someone the time to do so.

This Stoke game is potentially the toughest we'll face from now until the end of the season. If we get three points its massive and hopefully Stoke are a bit tired after their mid-week exploits.

But it's also 90 minutes of opportunity for Bridge to give him a good kicking. Terry (or his 'friends') has been going around saying Bridge has always been a bottler. What a loathesome scumbag he is.

A tough away match for us. Best case scenario is that Stoke'll be tired and won't be in a mood to do much; but it's more likely they'll be up for it, especially with their strong record at home against us. We need to live down that FA Cup defeat and have had a full week off, but we often actually play worse after a break. We'll miss Gallas, but hopefully Sol will play and Eboue and Theo may have some fun running at Stoke defence. A scrappy 1 - 2 win for us hopefully.
