Changes to the board

We have decided to make some changes to the board.

Basically, we have far to many sub forums on this board - General sports board, Football philiosphy, Information page, Predictions board which could all be used under other sub forums as they hardly have many threads as it is and they split the board slightly. General sports - Off topic, Football philiosphy - the relevant league or off topic, Information page - Welcome to the Euroboard, Predicitions - relevant league or off topic.

The only sub forums we plan to keep are -

Welcome to the European board, for all announcements.
Premiership board, as over half on here are Premiership fans.
European leagues, for all European football including European cups.
International football
& off topic.

Of course all existing threads would be kept and moved to the relevant board.

The only thing I know some people may not like is getting rid of the La Liga and Seria A forum and just having the European leagues forum again. So please do express your concerns here.

All these should be implented within the next week.

So the general sports, philosophy and prediction board --- will all merge into one; or gone..

personally i´d group european cups, la liga, serie a and european leagues into one heading european football. merge the other sports with off topic and to my mind that should be ok

This is probably were people will disagree.

I'd be happy like you with it all in one forum. I'd also be happy if we have European leagues and European cups seperate.

I just don't see why La Liga and Seria A need a forum each. The Premiership needed one because half the people here are Premiership fans.

Well will leave this thread open for a while to discuss the European one's. Say the next couple of days.

The other forums will be going soon like Football philiosphy and Predictions, general sports has already gone.

should we maybe alert people to this thread...as I reckon hardly any of them look at it usually.

nah, just put an announcement on each board maybe, linking them to this thread

It shall be done.

I'll put it on the most used boards and lock them. Premier league, off topic, european leagues etc.

Keeping the predictions board, may have to be done.

I'm fine with keeping the predictions board though - its not as though debate will be lost by keeping it

Yeah the changes sound spot on to me so you have my voter of support.

The changes are good bar removing the sports board, that was used a lot

It had 21 topics in it.

Its all in the off topic forum now so easy to find.

we arent moving them because of how often they're used anyway.

I think the board is fine as it is, why mess with something that works.

And i want a single board where all the major clubs will get the bashing when they fail.

Park i understand what otto was saying, but it doesnt apply to the sports board. Most topics there would not have been made if there wasnt a sports board, it hardly takes away from anything else, and it was used quite often, you didnt use it but others did i dont really get what good it going does.

We're moving them because Otto and others seem to think that the more sections there are, the less debate will happen as some people dont want to click on all the sections.

So if its all contained in as few sections as possible then maybe more debate will break out...

No idea if it will work, cant say I was bothered by how it was. Seemed to be getting enough debate as it was.
