This went a bit upreported didn't it? Only just saw it on Football 365 buried in the winners and losers but earlier this week, the Premier League had secured a double-every-club's-money deal to sell its overseas broadcasting rights over the next three years for a head-spinning sum of £1.4bn. That means an average of almost £25m for every club for every year until 2013

    Yikes

So facotring in the domestic TV money that's probably about £40m per club.

All it means is that running costs will go up. We have all these clubs bringing in more money than ever before, yet some are in financial trouble, and many others are still scraping around when the transfer window comes around.

Well it was a recession rebound. I don't think wages will go up further so i cant see where costs will account for 40 mill. Pool and United have the biggest debt but that's got fuck all to do with either club just owners. Arsenal's is next but that was about a new stadium which is fair enough. Spurs Chelsea City could spend 50 mill without blinking an eyelid at any given window. I think this extra cash could boost clubs like Blackburn and Fulham who never seem to have a penny

Wages for the top players are still likely to rise though because of Real Madrid and Man City stretching the market. I guess it depends whether or not Utd decide to try and but a top class player or continue to try and but top class talents, which can be got for a hell of a lot cheaper.
