Best U21 attacking player in Europe??

From Serie A, I would nominate Balotelli, Pato, & Jovetic... these 3 could potentially reach those hieghts. Pastore & Sanchez also look promising.

Just to clarify, Carroll had an awesome 2nd half of the season, but i was a critic before that so the jury is still out, Ranger has obvious talent but is in the same boat as Macheda, he's very young and could probably do with being loaned out next season. I'm so unreasonable.

What have Spurs done with John Bostock by the way? Wasn't he supposed to be up-and-coming..

People were talking about Moses too. Haven't seen him for Wigan yet.

But I was thinking more U-21 though. Those players though are quite good but will they be at the level of Rooney/Joe Cole/Gerrard/Lampard though?

Lennon of that group is the best as I see it while Milner strikes as being somebody who could be very useful but never really a starter for a big side. I don't know what to make of Young. I don't think he has progressed that much but it might come. Allthough those players are good because for a moment I couldn't think of any big talents coming through.

Apart from Rooney none of those were really child stars. There is no wonderkid at the moment, but i could list a load of players that could develop into very good players.

Lampard I will give you but Gerrard was pretty hyped in his younger years wasn't he? And Joe Cole was a good talent as well. It just took longer to make an impact. What players are you thinking of? Any defenders because in the offensive area I think England will be ok but after seeing how Anton Ferdinand/Dawson didn't really develop I think the biggest problems might be in defence.

I think Miles Addison is a quality player, he has had some bad injury problems though which happens too much with our young players, it probably explains why he's still in the championship. Look at Giles Barnes and Johnson, both were supposed to be the next Gerrard, one is closer to retiring from injury and the other has turned into a fat alcoholic, although goater insists he has just had a hamstring strain for the past 2 years.

Addison(CB/DM)
Rodwell(DM)
Ranger(ST)
Carroll(ST)
Sturridge(ST) - if he leaves Chelsea
Wiltshere(AM)
Gosling(CM)
Forster(GK)
Richards(CB/RB)

Defenders tend to develop later so it's difficult to look for U21s. There's plenty around 22-24 like Wheater, Taylor, Mancienne, Shawcross.

They could be we'll see, Rooney himself is just 24 though. Rodwell, Sturridge also a few names about. Undoubtably some will improve with time and some wont and some may decline which ones i don't know.

Dunno. We paid £12m, he's improved and established self in England squad since then, so I think you'd be talking £20m+ before Villa would think about selling.

Well Milner may have improved so if we took 4 months to offer 25 mill for Tevez i doubt we're gonna pay that for someone of his quality. Fergie Glazers whoever i can print 3-4 copies and go wild.
