    http://www.forbes.com/lists/2010/34/soccer-10_Soccer-Team-Valuations_Revenue.html

I've sorted it by revnue. the overall rank is on the far left.

    http://www.forbes.com/lists/2010/34/soccer-10_Soccer-Team-Valuations_Revenue.html

4 clubs are making an absolute killing in profits. Obviously Arsenal are having to use a substantial amount of that to re-pay debts; likewise Man Utd now.

Real Madrid should be repaying debts.

Looking at the various columns though, its clear that Barca are the best positioned financialy speaking for the immediate future.

The 1 year value change is also worth a look as it shows the effect of the financial crisis on clubs. Barca should a net increase, obviously as a result of their on pitch success.

    I'm pretty sure Barça's debt isn't 0.

    Whatever Kas.

I mean they're an internationally reputed organisation that specialises in the analysis of company finances and assets, whereas you are, without meaning to be offensive, a BUM.

Barcelona most certainly do not have zero debt. In fact, it's about 200m euro according to their own financial reports prepared by Deloitte & Touche.

I've seen numbers ranging all the way from 30m to 200m, so I don't really know if even that's correct. One thing's for sure, such reports by Forbes and Deloitte are completely misleading and a big waste of time, because football is probably the least transparent industry you can find.

Kas, keep one thing in your mind. Creative financial accounting in extrema is one thing the 'PIGS'-countries (Portugal Italy Greece and Spain) are known from...

...At the end of the day the solid western European countries pay Barcelona's and Real Madrid's debt.... It was like that in the past it will happen in the future!

The worst thing is, nobody is doing anything to that kind of fraud...

Maybe they did not have the exact debt figures available to them (Forbes) for the clubs for which they have mentioned 0. It is hard to imagine a business, and be it running a football club, these days that can be completely debt free. Leverage is a tool all successful businesses use
