    1. Wayne Rooney - obviously because he's our best player.

    2. James Milner - not likely to be a starter but he's had a great season in the league + has performed admirably in EVERY international performance so far this season and he'll be the go-to sub of choice for Capello in every match.

    3. Aaron Lennon - If you watch the EPL (as most of you do) then you'll know what his strengths are. On his day, his pace and nimbility and unplayable.

    ok

    What about Joe Hart?

I doubt he'll play to be honest, which is unfortunate. I think Capello's order is Green-James-Hart.

Having said that, Green has been abysmal in the past couple of months. Hart has simply been brilliant all season - I expected his form to drop off a bit, but it hasn't. A lot has been made of Brum's defensive partnership but I honestly believe that without Hart, Brum would have been teetering around the relegation spots if they hadn't loaned him - he's been THAT good.

He still has the propensity to make sloppy mistakes though - moreso than Hart.

    Rooney, Milner, Lennon.

Rooney, Adam Johnson, and Joe Cole.

I'm not sure why Milner and Lennon are getting mentioned. Milner, you will be AMAZED at how long he can run around. Lennon, you will be AMAZED at how fast he can run. Erm Wow.

Luis close your eyes this WC as Heskey and Crouch will be the fall guys for the England team both will be throwing their bodies around up front trying to cause havoc in opponents central defenses.

If this thread was titled 'most important players for your chances of WC success' then Heskey probably would make the top 3.

    @ kimmy

Everyone knows what Joe Cole can do - he can do the same as 4 years ago, but not quite as well.

Adam Johnson probably won't make the cut. If he does though and if he gets some play time he'll certainly be one to watch.

I think you need to bite the bullet on Lennon. Onetrick has with N'Zogbia and I think its only fair that you acknowledge that actually this season, he's started to provide the end product he's been missing in the past. Sure, he'll never be able to cross like beckham but his ability to beat a full back and put in a 'decent' ball will be invaluable.

Soccer is that simple all lennon has to do is beat the Right back and get a good cross in.... He will pull this off at least 2 or 3 times a game enough for us to score.

Milner will impress in the middle of the park ye have little faith also.

You can't compare my opinion on Lennon to 0tricks on N'Zogbia. He thought N'Zogbia was a joke, like another Luke Chadwick. I've never said Lennon is a BAD player, i've just said that he relies on pace too much and isn't creative enough to be hyped the way he is.

Lennon got a decent number of assists this season i know, although half of them came in thrashings against Hull and Wigan.
