so a mixed team, pick those players they would get into the first 11

always baised on there form from 2006 or now

    --------lehmann
    lahm-metzelder-mertesacker-lahm (2006)
    -------frings------ballack
    schneider--------özil
    -----klose (2006)----poldi (its equal)

so from this point only 3 1/2 players from the current team would get into the 2006 team

looks shocking, but the players we have now can produce far more danger in the attack, i would say when you look at this point the current midfield has far better technique and attacking ability and vision

    Ozil,

The way Schwienstieger has been playing for Bayern in the CL, shouldn't he also make this team?

For Italy, I guess only Chiellini will make it over Materazzi in 2006.... but if you consider Nesta of 2006, then NO ONE, not a single player.... Yeah, its that bad.

Yeah, but I would take Schwieni over Frings of 2006.... Schweini has more leadership qualities... he could become the new Matthaus/Sammer/Effenberg that Germany desperately need....

hopefully, we will see what he can do at the WC

    i have high hopes too

frings 2006 had world class form too, it would depend what you want for your team, an destroyer or a modern 6

ok but i think your right, schweini deserves his place beause of his great season
