If in the summer your team did not sign/sell any players, but the other teams in the Premiership could buy and sell players.

Then where do you think your team would finish in the league next season?

Compared to this season, higher, lower or about the same?

Do you think your manager will have learnt from the mistakes made last season?
Will the young or new players from last seaosn be better after a years experience in the Premiership?
    What about the older players?
You might have a new manager, i.e. Newcastle United.

You can include loan players that you will have back for the start of next season.

Our current team and manager have won 7 games in our last 9, including wins at Old Trafford, The Emirates and at home to both Bolton and Everton.

    That's good ok

I think we could finish top 8 with the side we have now (Ashton,Gabbidon and Upson would all be back from injury too)

3rd or 4th. Fact of the matter is, we probably won't sign anyone of quality in the summer.

Next season we'll hopefully have Henry and RVP fit for the majority of the campaign + a lot of players will continue to mature and settle such as Gallas, Eboue, Clichy, Denilson, Walcott, Rosicky and Adebayor.

    We'll also have Bendtner back

Bearing in mind other clubs will be spending I wouldn't put you quite that high - about 10th IMO.

Newcastle, Villa, Man City and Portsmouth are all likely to spend a considerable amount in the summer

About the same points total, which would leave us tussling with Arsenal for 3rd and 4th.

If we had a fully fit Kewell for the whole season, and Garcia back, then we would have covered the LW position.

We'd lack cover for CB/RB though. Our only area of true strength in depth is central midfield.

You're only taking into account your best form all season aswell, i wouldn't bet on that lasting all the way through next season.

Would expect us to be much better next season. Imo, Sheva will be worth 10 more league goals (if Sheva and Kalou are getting 10-15 league goals, and Drogba and Lampard are getting 15-20, that's fine), Ballack will be more suited to the Prem too.

Hopefully Cech won't pick up any freak injuries, Terry and Carvalho will stay fit and Robben and Cole can be fit at the same time, then we should do alright.

Need to buy a new RB and cover CB though. ok

I would agree with most that. ok

We would certainly be closer to the top two, thats for sure. I think we would cut that 20 point gap significantly with a good bill of health. The new and young players will have had a season under there belts so there would be little excuse next term.

Do you really think that we won't buy quality over the Summer? I can see one big name myself.

I'm still not covinced, although maybe someone like Ribery - not anyone that would make a significant difference to our points total is what I meant.

I think most of the squad improvement or not next year depends on our present squad Ale

I think we'll do about the same, if not better with the added motivation after this dreadful season.

As for the question "will your manager learn from his mistakes"................ Whistle
