    Yes!

Hopefully Germany will test Argentina's defence and we will finally see how fragile it really is.

The way I see it, Germany have a better team (they're more a unity tactically), but Argentina have the better individual players.

The weakness of both teams is their defence.

So very hard to call. But I think Argentina should be able to win this.

    argentina dont have better individuals

at least not when some of them sitting on the bench

though i know england is not a benchmark, they are not a world class team, but i am not sure if argentina is one

I may be wrong, but I think that if he gets his second yellow in the quarters he will not be able to play in the semifinals. Fifa have this rule just to make sure no one will miss the final.

From Maradona's press conference, it seems he was worried about the pace of the Mexican attackers, so he thought he was better not to risk Samuel anyway and let the pacier Burdisso play.

They do get cleared if they only have 1 yellow card. If they pick up their 2nd yellow in the QF, they still have to serve a suspension in the SF.

Exactly, no particularly outstanding defences at this WC apart from perhaps Brazil's.

Samuel returning will make a big difference. Demichelis should be dropped. Burdisso - Samuel can be a good partnership.

Brazilian defenders are making too many mistakes IMO. They conceded silly goals against North Korea and Ivory Coast, made some stupid decisions like Juan's handball against Portugal... 1994 defence was much more solid IMO.
