We definately need to play much better than we have so far.

this wc is all about revenge.

we'll draw the game, but this time it's us to progress after penalties, because brasil were mentally down for being denied a penalty late into the game.

in the final against germany we will concede a goal first but win it in the end.

gorgeous one, do you remember a certain German player, with a certain, very common German name, wearing the number 13? I wonder if there are any parallels these days....

Ramirez didn't get a 9 because of that silly yellow that took him out of the game against Holland. I thought during the game that he would get Melo's place as a starter against Holland. At least Elano may be back.

Still find it amazing we thought Bastos wasn't any good at Feyenoord. Probably went to young too Europe.

Gonna be tough for Holland to keep the catinga at bay, Holland really has to shift a few gears still a match between the two best playing teams this wc.

The dutch press said the same before the 1994 WC QF. Branco would need to take sleeping pills because he would mark Van Vossen or Overmars, I can't remember exactly which of them. Both had a quiet game and Branco scored the winner.

But you're right, Bastos is a liability. Robben is one of the best dribblers in the world. I just wish Bastos has enough cover.

I'm worried about the midfield too. Sneijder is much faster than Gilberto Silva and Felipe Melo. Ramires was the MotM today. He will be missed.

they are miles ahead of everyone else at this WC and will walk the semi and final too. Might as well hand over the trophy now as its as good as done.

France are Brazil's bogey team, not Holland.

Wouldnt say Holland are their bogeyman, but they do well against them and the matches are always fun to watch. Holland has won vs every big team during a WC/EC I believe, compared to Germany who's record vs other big guns like Italy or Brazil...not so good.

Every country has a bogey team Fey, including Brazil (see above). I won't even mention yours...

We've build up so much good karma in all those matches v Portuguese countries, we're likely to win this time.

Our bogey team are the Czechs. We just KO-ed their brothers. Who happen to have KO-ed Italy.

They are too well oiled, too strong and far too clinical. They will also have pretty much a bye in the semis and then face a team (arg/ger/esp) who will be stupid enough to attack them in the final.
My views could be perceived as pessimistic but I would say realistic is closer to the mark. Brazil might be ugly but they are the best team by a country mile.

I agree that they are the top favourite and most likely winner, but they are not the best team 'by a country mile'. And yes, they are beatable, even if it's difficult.
