has nothing to do with race. I blame catholicism.

Just visit some big international youth tournament and see how the kids behave (diving, asking for cards, faking injuries). Some countries hardly do it, some countries the kids behave like their grown ups) There's a pattern.

Unfortunately it's the way it is. I'm a great fan of Latin football & do acknowledge it's superior to ours in various departments. Just not used to the amount of theatre, in our football culture it's far less accepted than in yours. That's why you see it far more in some countries.

Maybe. we should make a list of the worst German divers and check out what faith they have.

For years 1 of our biggest talents Arjen Robben was absolutely vilified in Holland for his disgraceful diving. Did the same happen with Ronalda in Portugal?

Just watch 1 enitre matchday in a league and compare the amount of playacting. There's a difference. In the amount of playacting. In the way it's punished (or not).

4th minute, a "mini-dive" by Xavi from a light foul by Pepe.

6th minute, Torres (I think) stays on his knees as Portugal break.

9th minute, first "proper" dive as Ramos (running at speed) deliberately gets a slight touch from Pepe and falls over, trying to provoke a yellow.

11th minute, first "proper" faked injury as Busquets makes a horrible pass to a Portugal player, stays down clutching his leg, then gets up a few seconds later once he's got the free kick. He arguably did get fouled but after already releasing the ball.

5:20 - double dive by Torres and Contreao, when Torres was attacking from right flank and try to cut in already inside the penalty box.

Ronaldo, 34th minute. Expected Busquets to make contact but as he just breezed past, Ronaldo fell anyway.

Ref's doing well. I think I might've won the sweepstake with my Ramos, 6 minutes prediction.

Busquets needs to try harder to get into the game. Not a single hand to face moment Shocked
