Well they've caused it - If Wayne got himself some proper advisors who will keep him on the right track instead of those who want to squeeze every penny out of him that they've got, maybe he'll become what we wish he'll be. I wouldn't be suprised if he said one day, "I'm sick of this game" - the hype, the hangers-on & the expectation must wear you down at some point.

Yo Parky! you know I call it like it is. Rooney was never "world class", Terry is shite, Ashley Cole is overrated, same with Rio, Lampard, Gerrard. King is England's best central defender, and Mourinho should trust Bridge a little. Bridge will show everyone Ashley Cole has nothing on him. Paul Scholes is a true midfield maestro...still England's best central midfielder.

Yes, Rooney may follow Scholes' footsteps. As it is right now Scholes is a 10 regarding the understanding of the game, the know how. Rooney is a 4 at the moment.

Rio is a decent defender, but nothing special. Take him out of the EPL, and he'd suffer just like Woodgate playing against those players from La Liga with their shake and bakes, misdirections, fakes, changes of pace...

Good call Pierre! Yep, I've seen Lescott (Everton) play, and he's good. I didn't say anything because as you say he's just played a few games in the EPL. Definitely a player to keep an eye on.
