    Apparently the guy behind the now famous Zonalmarking site, has been given his own column on the Guardian ok

    Here's his Chalkboard analysis for this week. Covers Bolton focusing attacks down their left flank now that they have Petrov, Walcott's favourite finish, Cahill's all round contributions, and Vermaelen's ability on the ball.

    Yeah it's always a good read, even if he sometimes interprets things in a rigid way in order to fit his thoughts.

    I don't think he has agendas per se, or at least, doesn't show them very obviously...I just think that sometimes he over-analyses, looking for some tactical explanation for every result/major incident. A lot of things in football are just luck or a fluke decision by the manager of a team.

    Only time I remember when he admitted that tactics weren't the key in final results, was an article about French NT performace at WC. Their internal morale problems were too obvious even for him.
