I didn't see the old man again. I just dropped the cute honey off at the cottage they were staying and went on my way. I had to meet the friends I originally was supposed to meet. The old man was funny, sincere, genuine. His son was a big fan of football obviously, they both were, and the mom basically agreed to what the old man said, good lady too.

Even I am now aware that Michael Ballack was the best player to have ever plied his trade on our shores, and that Stefan Freund didn't score for us in 106 games because it was simply the right thing to do. And that Jens Lehmann was an allround good egg to boot.

Jens Lehmann is, and was, a big pulsing nob. You and Allez might have time for him because he's a "nice family man", but as a player, he was an infuriating melon head. Falling over, rolling around, pushing players, blaming others for his mistakes - had he played with a smile on his face in these moments he could have been let of as just a bit of a clown, but ultimately he was a DIRTY player constantly looking to trick the referee. And for that, I don't honestly care how much of a "nice family man" he was or is. Or how many women / gay men are attracted to his big Germanic square jaw and tousled curly locks. He. is. a. NOB
However, Steffan Freund on the otherhand - moderately talented at best, but an honest, hard working and all round decent guy. Plenty of Freund love. I imagine he tried to advise Jens not to be such a NOB, but alas, ultimately failed.
Seriously though - helped him purchase a house maybe? Or even sold him his Bavarian styled wooden cabin in Hertfordshire? Hot or cold?
As for rankings:
