I've hardly seen him, just against France in the U23s; He was pretty good. That scoring rate is just awesome though. Looks like Adriano's when he was good.

Bit of a dissapointment though that Ajax didn't qaulify for the CL - I remember someone predicting they could well have gone all the way Doh

Fiorentina made a tentative interest in the player over the summer after losing Bojinov.

He is an incredible talent, amazing scoring record, in Italy although we don't get to see a lot of Dutch football, there will ALWAYS be enquiries after Huntelaar's performances and a lot of interest is taken in the younger Dutch talents. Especially at Milan, where we have been lucky to be graced by the presences of Gullit, van Basten, Rijkaard, Stam, Seedorf etc.

We had been linked with Sneijder for along time now, these rumours will not abate.

    @ Pirlo

Huntelaar playing for the Rossoneri, in the future is a possibility ... but he will not leave Ajax before Euro 2008 ..

Also i am not surprised Sneijder has been linked to a great club like AC Milan (he has his critics).

    CIAO RAI!

Imagine, the proven striking rate of such players like Huntelaar, Inzaghi in their prime! Razz

Sneijder is an infuriating player, he has incredible two footed ability, WHAT a shot, there is a rival for Seedorf for an unbellievable shot!

For Milan, i was hoping maybe to get Vlaar, he looked a great prospect, i am not sure of the current situation regarding a transfer but he seemed very assured, if alittle unprofessional at times though.

There is nothing more beautiful than to witness a Dutch match, great ball retention, passes, patience, i saw Ajax - Feyernoord last season, an incredible match of technique, Pienaar especially had a good game, and Kuijt and Kalou were very dangerous.

Have you any information on the latest defensive talents in Holland, at Milan it is an area we need reinforcing QUICKLY! What has happened to Stekelenberg's form?

Plus, i desperately wanted Maduro to join us in the Summer, he is an incredibly intelligent and gifted player, great tactical versatility as well, we require a foil for Pirlo, i feel out of the options available it would be best to nurture him for the role <Ale>

    @ Pirlo

Defensive Midfield Talent - Stijn Schaars (AZ) = a talent if i ever saw one .. you should know him; captain of the winning Netherlands U21 team at this years Euros..

Vlaar just recently signed for Feyenoord; so i don't think he be leaving any time soon.

Maduro - he is having problems this season .. but he should be OK, not been playing for the 1st team, but if he keeps up training well; he will return.

Imagine he and KJH went to Milan in one season .. reminds of me of two other players who did the same in the mid 80's! Shocked

Stekelenberg at the moment is 'doing OK' he has his good and not so good moments .. in the long run he should be ok

    @ Rai,

Yes, in Italy we are aware of the U-21 team, we take alot of interest in youth football, mainly because our U-21s have such a fantastic record in these events.

Schaars, yes, there was quite a piece of the Dutch team in one of the Italian football magazines, 'EuroCalcio', San Marco obviusly rates this player highly, they say he could be the replacment in a tactical sense for Cocu?

He reads the game very well and has great determination! To recover from serious problems like growing pains when he was 12 and a serious hip injury, all at such a young age!

Joop Brand said that he is an example for 'every young player'.

Plus, we hear about Nicky Hofs in Milan, mainly because Marco said he was 'better than Clarence Seedorf!' He was magnificent in the final 3-0 over Ukraine, made a fantastic pass for Huntelaar and scored the last.

What i like about him is that he not only has talent, but he is a 'worker', he will track back and he will help the team.

    @ Pirlo

I'm glad Schaars is getting all this exposure .. across Europe, especially in a football loving nation like Italy.

Just like you pointed out .. he could be the next Cocu (maybe not as influential and talented .. but in a tactical sense, as you say). He already is a natural born leader.

Nicky Hofs is another bright talent, he has not made his International debut, hopefully soon .. i just hope these two (and others) can give Holland a bright future (hopefully Orange..)

Stijn Schaars is a great talent, who is devloping accordingly. He's known by his merit, not hype.

As for Huntelaar, in all honesty, he's been "very poor" this year. Compared with last year he's so far looked out of pace, a bit uncomfortable, and a tad more arrogant and missing chances. He's in a bad patch right now.

Yet, his goal statistics are still impressive, I have to say, but last year's KJH would have had at least 13 goals in 10 matches (perhaps even 15), and not "just" 8. He's also yet to score competatively for the big international squad, and he's not scoring a goal every game in the league, yet.

Wow, I'm sure thierry Henry wishes he's that effective "off-form".

I just tought that if you're going to gloat or adress people to about the wonder of the "Stunter" Wink , at the end of last year would have been more fitting than during his "bad start". He's still impressive of course, but its not worse than adressing people to the record of Henry and Sheva right now, when they're a bit cold.

Its more prudent to wait for them to get on fire first. Wink
