    Oh. Oh wait...

He's quite alright, certainly faired better than Sissoko. That was a man v boy battle. ok

Aye... I'm watching it right now and he's been dominating momo... that's why Momo is receiving the ball and passing it short all the time. Because Parker is dictating the midfield play... I wish we had a player like him. Momo gets dominated in every single match ever. Parky told me so.

Yeah cheers, there's another thread with it now too. Only problem is my Mac seems to have issues with Google Video. Never mind, I'm sure I'll see it at some point...

Sadly it isn't on youtube, or at least I can't find it.

Basically, the ball comes to Alonso maybe 10 yards inside his own half, slap bang in the middle of the pitch. The ref accidentally blocks the pass out wide, so Alonso glances forward to see if there's any action ahead of him. He spots Harper off his line, hits an inch-perfect 60/70 yard chip, Harper goes running backwards towards his goal, loses his footing in the penalty area and falls, the ball going over him and landing in the net. Lovely goal, though Harper may well have got to it without the slip. Nonetheless, there are very few players who could hit a dead ball that accurately, let alone one in open play.

Parks hasn't got here yet obviously, or he'd be telling you how Sissoko is everything that's wrong with football today...

Shame he was in Parker's pocket all night. Despite us dominating the possession and acheiving the territorial advantage Rolling Eyes

Did he play in your league cup game last night?

Fair play, I can't remember what game I watched highlights of him in, but he was alot better on the ball than I imagined he would be. I've seen him tackling and what not obviously, but he was top class in possession.

because he plays for a big club.

Cattermole is younger than him....but plays for us so doesnt get the recognition he blatantly deserves

    he played last night yeah.

Sounded like him and Taylor were the only players who actually performed.

Is tackling not a talent? he's one of the best tacklers in the premiership. I know, I know, you're going to point to the red card he should have had against Chelsea, but 90% of the time he gets his tackles spot on.

I don't think he's a great footballer per se - though he's far better than everyone on here gives him credit for because he made his name in the Auxerre youth team as a striker - but he is a very good defensive midfielder and his passing over short-distances is far better than you give him credit for.

We should be fair - had he not slipped then the shot probably would have been saved, though what he was doing so far off his line I don't know.
