What's the weather like in Newcastle? light showers tonight?

What do you expect?

Fear a tough match for us. We always have it difficult at SJP & secondly I expect Wenger too play too defensive, 4-5-1-ish, which will not help.

Newcastle to win for some strange reason

I expect an easy 2-0 win for Arsenal. Sam will try and play defensive again and will come undone.

What are the chances of Smith and Barton starting in midfield tonight to rough up the Arsenal kids?

I agree JDG, I think it will be a tough game for us, and without Cesc, Hleb and Van Persie we might struggle for creativity.

It's strange, Allardyce was on tv earlier and he sounds a lot less bullish than he was at Bolton. He used to go on about how his sides knew how to beat Arsenal, now he is essentially saying that they need Arsenal to under-perform tonight if they want to get a result.

I reckon either an Arsenal battering or a dull draw.

Don't think we'll get beat. Think we'll get a draw and maybe a hard fought win similar to the one vs villa the other day.

I agree with the Guz, Wenger will likely employ 4-5-1, so i expect:

Key is where the game will be played, i.e. can we dominate and play on their half (which we should their defence isn't sound) or do we sink in, which will make them confident & could well loose us the match.

Not one of my predicted slip ups for Arsenal.

I hope we don't pick up any more injuries tonight but it will be a tough match. I wouldn't be surprised to see someone pick up a knock, particularly as Newcastle's midfield will probably be comprised of combative individuals.

Definitly can see Newcastle winning this one. Missing so many key players all in the same area of the pitch makes Arsenal just another team. It will be christmas come early with the money bet on this match if Newcastle can win. From 11/2 down to 7/2
Newcastle apparently were pretty good and unlucky in the last game, so maybe their season is about to turnaround tonight. Martins to bag a few also please.

should be an easy win for Arsenal but while you can rely on Newcastle crumbling against Man U and Liverpool they come up with the odd steely performance against London clubs.

We always crumble against them, like last season when we drew 2-2 with Man U and beat Pool 2-1.

Kimbo off the topic but Lomano Lua Lua was he good enough for Newcastle and why didn't he make it there?

Because he wasn't good enough. He was a good player, but at the time we were in the top 4 and he wasn't up to scratch. I would take him now though, and i reckon he would suit Sams 4-3-3 thingy.

His cousin Kazenga is supposed to be more talented, we'll have to wait and see though.

I got our squad spot on. Expect Gilberto to let us down somehow though
