    möller = götze
    hässler = özil
    sammer = kedhira
    effenberg = kroos
    kohler = hummels
    klinsmann = schürrle
    riedle = klose^^
    ilgner = adler
    helmer = badstuber
    scholl = marin
    kahn = neuer
    basler = müller

    and we had world class players in

    matthäus = schweinsteiger
    brehme = lahm
    augenthaler = mertesacker
    neuer and özil

    this generations looks even better, tactically and on the ball

    Let me curse it here and now: it's a Golden Generation. Now you can look forward to matching the Golden Generations of Portugal and England over the next few years Ale

    Erm

    NONE of this matters AT ALL

    CHARACTER and PERSONALITY are FAR more important than skill , talent or even tactical ability

    MANY of the latest TALENTS are metrosexual, scarf-wearing pussies who crumble when the going gets tough

    just take the PATHETIC display against Spain

    WOHLFÜHLFUSSBALLER, die nur bei Zimmertemperatur aufblühen

    let's hope, all it takes is TIME for them to become MEN: also see the Schweini transformation

    i agree on that

    and when i look at kroos, kedhira and schweinsteiger i dont have a fear about the lack of characters in future

    möller and hässler have been respected because of there footballings skills, both of them where no huge characters

    while sammer and effenberg were huge characters and strategists on the field

    a good combination is always the best, and who would have thought in 1992 that sammer and effenberg would become the leaders of an cl winning and and euro 96 cup winning team, you never know the progress of players

    I agree with Otto.

    These are basically a group of promising boy-shafters who are not yet a team of proven winners.

    Following the current generation, will they eventually become real man-shafters like Piggy or will they be divisive like Ratty*?

    You need more of the former than the latter if you're going to win a world cup, I feel.

    *I refer to Lahm here rather than Podolski. Not short on rodenty players.

    is this the best german generation since begin of the 90`s Mattha10

    this is matthäus 1980, 6 years later he was the best midfielder along maradona

    again 4 years later he was the leader and character everyone want

    so you see everything needs time, schweinsteiger will be the main person in the next years, while the young lads will grow in that time

    so at least we have a new generation on the start, other countrys can dream about that

    I have no worries about Khedira

    Kroos is a different cattle of fish: HUGE TALENT , but a bit FRAGILE

    Möller was THE PUSSY in 1996: nickname "Heintje" or "Heulsuse", I think

    but when the Czechs scored a goal he seemed to SHIFT into THREE BIGGER GEARS

    WITHOUT ANYBODY telling him

    Kroos could go that way, but we don't know

    you NEED the Sammers, Effes, Loddars, Kohlers, Helmers... though

    and at the moment we don't have them

    Neuer is the closest to them, but as a goalie is ISOLATED

    as for Hummels, who I rate highly: watch the Nutella ad

    (and I challenge you): do NOT cry and weep when he says his last WORD like an intimdated schoolboy

    lol!

    zum HEULEN

    Helden sehen anders aus

    Smile Doh

    Not convinced, name the pussies in the World Cup 1st XI (obviously with Müller over Troche, who would indeed fit your label). Even with Philipp as the Schleimer rat, and metrosexual Badstuber (who I have no fears about, more about Merte if he continues to be first choice indefinitely), not sure how your theory translates into or affects performances on the field.

    Losing to the current Spain in two consecutive crunch games, the second with far more honour than the first, for the big tournaments is no disgrace and not really to do with a lack of character. Even if you point out the lack of courage, belief and boldness in the recent semi, I'd suggest you point the finger at Löw more than suggesting that the players were Weicheier – that wasn't really the case.
