According to the German (sport) tabloid "Sportbild", Hargreaves insists on moving to Manchester United, and demands Bayern to cancel his contract (ends 2010).

Not sure about this to be true though. 'Forcing' Bayern manager Hoeness to do something has never actually worked, and this really doesn't sound like Hargreaves to me. That's not his way to handle such things.

You sell one striker with a bad attitude that wasn't performing and you buy another with a worse attitude that is not fit or at his ideal weight. and to top that wasn't even scoring like Ruud was (he went a whole 3 months without scoring Yikes

I agree he is inconsistent, but i duno what you on about with his attitude.

I'm glad Otto isnt the person selling, or we would be starting at 20 million i guess. He is a very good player, 8 mill would be great. bayern want more and would call it off, but he is desperate to join us so he is making the transfer happen.
We should of prob went for him first, bayern look at carrick and no wonder they ask for more.

<Ale> Cheers for that blutgraetsche its always good to get the German media's perspective.

I can't imagine Hargreaves doing this either, infact what i like about him most is his honesty and intelligence, but i also think he is determined to move to England off the back of his world cup.

Well, Bayern lost Ismael (CB) today. He is seriously injured and will probably miss the first half of the season for them. This means that Demichelis most probably will have to help out in the central defence, therefore Hargreaves being the only 'real' DMC left in the squad.

The Bayern midfield was already stretched thin (Ballack and Ze Roberto leaving and not being replaced, Deisler being seriously injured etc.), and now even the central defence need backups. I simply can't imagine that Hoeness will be stupid enough to sell Hargreaves. Only if Manchester United pay roughly as much as they paid for Carrick I can see this transfer happening. But even then it would be madness, because the Bundesliga has started already, and there is not enough time left to buy a replacement. Bayern are one of the richest clubs in the world, they don't need the money, and almost never sell their players.

With 10 million pounds whats that 14 mill euro, bayern can get a cb replacement then Demichelis can go back to dmc.

Listen blut it's like this for Hargreaves now or never, it had been explained to him if he doesnt come to Man Utd now, we will get someone else, and we wont be in for him again.

There could be a swap deal for someone like Silvestre i suppose bounce

I'm sure 12 Million and they would do business especially as it seems Hargreaves is intent on playing in the prem, he may even go on to hand in a transfer request i'm sure they don't want an unhappy player on the books it looks bad on them and the fans won't appreciate it.

That is actually a good point.

Liverpool and Chelsea's midfields are sets for years. Arsenal have Diaby and Cesc, maybe they would be interested next season if Gilberto goes.

We will only be looking this season.

1 of the two would be going on loan for sure, more than likely Jones.

Well, I'm just looking at it from the Bayern perspective, I'm not even a Bayern fan, on the contrary. And like I explained above, it would not make any sense at all to them. If Bayern do this deal, they'd be very stupid, and this would actually help Werder Bremen, my club, in the Bundesliga.

Hargreaves just has extended his contract to 2010, and knowing Hoeness, he will by no mean be intimidated by him in any way, even if this means putting Hargreaves on the bench for a year. And I can't imagine that Bayern will sell him for less than 20-25 Million Euros.

Jones is staying, Fergie has said that a few times. I'm guessing Fletcher will stay however there has been no comment either way.

Bayern wanted to try 3 players in the defence, a 3-5-2 system, with Lucio, Ismael and Van Buyten. And Van Buyten still needs some time to gel with Lucio, that's why Ismael was so important to them, especially if you consider that Bayern play the Champions League again, and will need all of their subs, too.
