Shaktar vs Schalke....
Nah seriously Barca will definitely be there. It will be either Chelsea or United that play them at Wembley and I went for United.

That wouldn't be half bad a tie, would it?
Didn't Jose suggest that if this tie happens, both the coaches and all the players might sit on the same bench? Or something to that effect?

Yeah Jose clearly loved Inter, he was there for all of 2 years.

Haven't you heard of love at first sight?Luis wrote:Yeah Jose clearly loved Inter, he was there for all of 2 years.
Jose's ambition may have taken him away from Inter, but he constantly shows his love & respect. Before the Bayern game, he kept talking us up, said that we can beat Bayern, gave advise publically and privately to Leo... after the game, he called the dressing room to congratulate everyone. As a fan, I respect Mou for that... and would love to have him back someday... unlike our previous coach, who publically predicted that Inter will lose - I guess he is as bad a pundit as he is a coach

Re: Predict the CL finalists
Tough to say right now...Barça-Madrid will be, and Chelsea-Man. Utd. is, a 50-50 tie.

So you are excluding Inter from the final already?fcb wrote:Tough to say right now...Barça-Madrid will be, and Chelsea-Man. Utd. is, a 50-50 tie.

Barça - Real Madrid is the true CL Final this season AND UEFA just gave us not one BUT TWO MATCHES between these two giants of football.
Think about it, the true CL Final has been played in the semifinal recently:
2004 - it was Porto-Deportivo
2006 - it was the absorbing Barcelona-Milan
2008 - it was Liverpool-Chelsea (sure the pussy football Mancs's-thanks to a Zambrotta gift-edged a Barça in total disarray through an Italian's mistake) that year's 'final' was gaddam AWFUL. The WORST final in CL in terms of the quality of the game FFS! TRUE FUCKING STORY!
2009 - it was Barcelona-Chelsea (again the true final, everyone saw the complete destruction of the Mancs at the feet of Barça in the pseudo-final)
2010 - it was Barcelona-Inter NOT Inter-Bayern.
You see, UEFA has recently given us the Final to be decided over two matches home/away.
It'll be the same this year with Barcelona-Real Madrid.

I just think it's a bit silly for you all to love a man who chose to leave after such a short spell in charge. Personally if we just won the treble and then our manager walked out on us I'd be livid.

Well, yes, at this moment I think either Man. Utd. or Chelsea would be too strong for Inter, unless you get your defense sorted. Neither of them are Bayern at the back...quite the opposite, in fact.

United are quality at the back especially. How do you get past a defence of rafael, smalling, brown and evra.

Time is relative, mate. It is different to people viewing it from different points in space. And this is a footballing example of that theory of relativity... You are viewing it from England, the land of SAF & Wenger, and it appears short. We view it from an Italian context, or Inter's context, where the average tenure of a coach (during Moratti's era) is less than a year.... Mou's spell doesn't look short by any standards.
And if you count the length of the spell by success rather than time, it was a very long spell.
While most Inter fans felt sad/disappointed by Mou's decision to leave, few were surprised. His intent was always quite clear, and he did not lie about it. I respect that. He is not respected for his loyalty, but for what he achieved with us.

Re: Predict the CL finalists
Real Madrid-Barcelona would be giantic! I hope the semi final is like that:
Real-Schalke (Raul against his old club)
Barcelona-Chelsea (Mourinho against his old club)
