barca went 5 seasons without winning anything of note and look at the club now, these things goes in cycles, but i think in order for arsenal cycle to being wenger needs to go and a few board members as well. and a manager and broad members with winning mentalities to come in

Spending £50-100 million per season that you don't have certainly helps build a winning side and turn a losing cycle into a winning one...

indeed it does, but then again, we were always sending 50-100 million per season that we don't have and we have never been this successful so...

You just posted pre-tax losses of over 20 million Euros despite winning the league and CL in style. You're still looking to buy two different players for more than 30 million Euros apiece.

No, you won't actually go bankrupt because you're Barca, you're like Citigroup. But just as Citigroup should not be boasting about their success, because it's all predicated on debt and bullshit, I don't think Barca should either. Particularly when you're spending loads despite producing some of the best players in the world from within the club.

What happens if (when?) Spain defaults? Looking at the state of European economies, its going to be a very interesting time for football in the coming years.
