Why... in god's name... is Ferreira as a central defender. Is Boulahrouz out too?

Doesnt make any sense to me.

I haven't heard of any Boulahrouz injury, but I assume there is one or he would at least be on the bench.

    Maybe because he is fasting....?

Prolly because they're just playing Fulham or summat like that. If those chaps (Ferreira, Geremi, Mikel) can't get a game here, they won't get one all season.

Jose is treating this like a second round Carling Cup game.

They lost at Fulham last season though. I can't imagine this match is being taken lightly.

The second goal was made by Garcia but the extra width Gerrard layed on for the move made the differance for Kuift to make his run. This made the spurs defence square....small thing but important..............ok

Well that would explain why we are playing 9 of our first 11 Erm

This is Fulham's biggest game of the season and we lost last year - José is taking it very seriously.

Other theory: Boula & Carvalho have never played together, whereas Carvalho & Ferreira have played in the same backline for years.

Look at the bench then, SWP in there too - not exactly the cream of Chelsea's crop. I still think that Jose knows about their away loss at last season, but if the guys can't handle this they shouldn't really be in the team at all.

In all honesty, Chelsea should still win comfortably.

Injuries (J. Cole, Terry) and suspensions (Ballack) also have taken their toll... well kind of.

    wtf...

We are missing: Ballack (suspended), Terry (injured) & J.Cole (injured).

With the exception of Boulahrouz - this is the best team we have.

    Good point.

But still strange as Boulah is many times a better CB as he is a RB.

Not much happening in the Chelsea-Fulham match.

Lampard hit a beautiful free-kick (apparently) narrowly over from 35 yards.

The ref seems to be blowing up for everything though (for both sides)

The whistle at the Riverside is met by a chorus of jeers by the home fans, and there's discontent at Fulham as well where Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has a few words with referee Mike Halsey.
