First England - Scotland game for 14 years, definitely needs its own thread.

stupid time to hold a friendly. No one gives a fuck. Half the England team are pretending to be injured, the other half will only play 45 minutes.

Ridley Scott is making a mini-series on William Wallace for next year, I think it's going to air before the referendum. That is expert propaganda.Isco Benny wrote:Will sales/downloads of Braveheart spike this week in Scotland I wonder. Hashtag Alex Salmond thinks it was historically accurate

Dont you have any sympathy for the Scots then Kimbo, you live so near them, Im sure the majority of the people who live in the South view you as a reserve-scot anyway.

Re: England v Scotland
I do, although I think Alex Salmond is an awful little toad so I don't want him to win. I am jealous that they have political parties that actually look out for their interests, the north east is 100% irrelevant politically, but that is our own fault. People here waste their votes on Labour when we should have our own political party. It's ridiculous, people hate the Tories like they are Nazi's, but then they vote for a party that has the same priorities.Fey wrote:Dont you have any sympathy for the Scots then Kimbo, you live so near them, Im sure the majority of the people who live in the South view you as a reserve-scot anyway.
I'm not convinced full independence is a smart thing to do though, so I would probably vote no if I was a Scotch.

If they leave, they'll want to join back in when the North Sea Oil starts running out. Then the UK can have a referendum for blocking them outKimbo wrote:I do, although I think Alex Salmond is an awful little toad so I don't want him to win. It's not like Scotland are Palestine, so no-one would notice any difference whatsoever in terms of education, healthcare etc. What's the difference between some numpty politician fucking them over from London or Edinburgh?
I heard Scotland may have to apply for EU Membership? Strangely the SNP want to be independent of the UK, but want to be in the EU.

Re: England v Scotland
Well from their point of view atleast they will have voted for the numpty in Edinburgh. Currently they have a Tory PM influencing them when only 1 out of their 59 MPs is a conservative, that's probably quite irritating.110% wrote:If they leave, they'll want to join back in when the North Sea Oil starts running out. It's the braveheart idea of "Freedom" I guess. The English were pretty mean to them in the past, and now the Scots want to cut their noses off to spite their faces.Kimbo wrote:Well from their point of view atleast they will have voted for the numpty in Edinburgh. Re: England v Scotland
is Gerard wearing a child's replica kit underneath his England kit?
Shows how bad England are that a past his sell-by-date Steve Gerrard is consistently the best player. We've got half a team of players whose CV is all hype and no substance, Wilshere, Cleverley, Walker, Welbeck - these are just empty shirts.
