So who would you pick as a lone striker for this World Cup Prof ?

P.s I don't think Welbeck did much to make his Man United team play better this season. Sturridge on the other hand........look at how good we have suddenly become since he and Coutinho joined.

Always a good idea to sum up a player by one mishap.

Reminds me of the time I told a colleague that I thought David Dunn was very gifted and he laughed and said "what - the guy off the SKY+ advert?!".

Welbeck outscoring Sturridge and Rooney for England with no pens and playing 10 yards in front of the left back for half the time  cheers

There was a stat on MOTD about a week before the end of the season that said Carrick, Cleverley and Fellaini hadn't played a single through ball this season - I've seen Sturridge miss plenty of good channces in recent weeks, secure in the knowledge that the quality of his team mates and their style of play means the next one will be a long shortly.

Welbeck's days at OT are numbered - he will move to Everton or Spurs as an out and out striker and prove all his doubters wrong.

Half of Welbeck's international goals came against San Marino and Moldova. Both Welbeck and Sturridges records at international level are fuck all.

Sturridge needs to spend these next few weeks working on his fitness as he's looked spent for the last 5 games or so and a tired/unfit Sturridge is not the prettiest of players. Needs to work on his selfishness as well - don't get me wrong, I absolutely love the guy and he has the potential to be world class but at times you can see in his face and body language he thinks he's above others (much like Suarez was last season) and if he could just work on being a team player more he'd be a complete player. Welbeck is far less selfish but no way near the quality of Sturridge IMO.

Maybe Puro has moved back to darkest Peru where they don't have the internet.

Or he could have been shot by a n!gger.

Or maybe he has just forgotten his password.

This was the most interesting aspect of the game, whether or not Puro would man up. Because let's face it it Peru are shite, and England are preparing for a game in 2 weeks time.

Puro's last post was on the 15th November last year.

One of the mods should unlock the board, we can't have an Engand-Peru game without him.

And once we see Welbeck operating out of his depth, there's always Ross Barkley we could bring on. Or more likely, James Milner.

The Wembley crowd is grim looking, a bunch of middle-class families waving about those shitty plastic clappers. Not sure when football got invaded by these diamond jubilee London 2012 isn't prince George a lovely baby motherfuckers. Bring back the lot that used to get lagered up and throw plastic chairs around I say.

England lacks ball playing defenders, all teams will need to do is press Gerrard and Henderson and everything will fall to shit.

This is where England slacks off normally and let's the opposition in to tie up or win games. Not bad really from England few mistakes and a few silly touches at least we have a game on. Peru are a threat so they have to keep the pressure on to keep them from tearing holes in our back line.
