In addition to our shaky defense, we're also not as clinical as last year. At all. We need about 25 shots for two goals against any competition. Not good.

You see him play some of the ball well before the collision with Gotze. Yes there could have been a broken ankle, but Mandzukic could have broken Cahill's nose with a loose elbow in the 1st half when jumping for the ball. I didn't see anyone asking for a red card Ale

David Luiz and Ivanovic played the offside trap to perfection, each player reading the same play as if they were using telepathy -and they had to play the offside trap because they were getting pummeled- BUT the "world's best left fullback" made sure the Bayern man was at least four metres NOT offside. lol!

I bet you're very happy. Pep has once again given Mourinho a football clinic. Bayern should be winning at least 7-2 but that's football.

Not stepping up to the plate just looking at 16 year old Lukaku trying to do a man's job.Laugh

I don't blame Lukaku at all. He's got balls just by taking the PK. John Terry is fucking ridiculous. "Superman"?...my ass.

Tough match. Obviously a sweet victory what with getting the last-minute equalizer and then winning on penalties. Lots to improve though if we want to compete for the Champions League this year. Good game, Chelsea fans.

More likely Maureen didn't pick Terry to take the kick, seeing what happened last time he stepped up to the plate in an European final.

Ouch, replay doesn't make it look any better, it's a pathetic pen. Lukaku looks utterly gutted and he'll have nightmares about tonight for years to come. Bayern better team on the whole and deserving winners. Quite astonishing how quickly that freeflowing team of last season has transformed itself into an archtypical Maureen team.

    Yeah it's great isn't it.

I was sceptical of whether or not Mourinho could turn the Chelsea wreck from last season into a really progressive force. I won't question Mourinho again. Right now Atletico Madrid is the top dog of progressive football but by god I'm starting to like this Chelsea side. Can't wait to see them in Cl in the knock out rounds against a big side.

Couldn't have happened to a better guy than Mourinho. Brilliant way to win this, going by the history of both teams. Would have been better if the title was more significant though.

Pep needs to stop being so dogmatic and reinforce the centre. If he wants to stick to his 4-1-4-1 system, he needs different personnel in the centre of the park. Schweinsteiger was missed today. And while Bayern still dominated the midfield, they are just too vulnerable on the counter.

EPL is the perfect league for Schürrle. I'll still be surprised if he manages to establish himself in the first team, knowing the competition he's facing in London, but he has everything to be a success in England. And his strengths fit well into Mourinho's football philosophy.

7-5 Puro. Let's not forget Oscar's big miss, Luiz's free header from about 8 yards and Ivanovic hitting the bar.
