Well it's just another typical average Villa season, where most people expected them to have a typical low-average Villa season.

Apparently Mariner will officiate Saturday's Premier League game between Southampton and Newcastle at St Mary's. I hope he is able to tell the difference between the amoebi bros, remi, gouffran, anita, tiote etc.

On the Ox handball, it was going wide, so should it have been a red card in the first place?

I understand that it made no difference to the game at all, and I would understand a red card if it was on target but it wasn't. So isn't it 2 things that mariner got wrong?

Rafael didn't even get a yellow for his handball against us so the inconsistency is what annoys me.

Personally I don't think the ref had a fucking clue what happened. He didn't see the handball for some reason and so didn't see that it wasn't going in anyway. The problem with that incident is that Chamberlain obviously did think the ball was going in and has deliberately denied what he thought was a goal so in that sense he cheated to deny a goal (in his mind) and thus I think the red was the right call.

Mariner should never officiate a game between two Asian countries, that's for sure.
