Seeing Casillas so helpless after a season in which he only played a few games, i have a bad feeling about playing a half fit Neuer vs. Portugal. Could end in a disaster also.

Neuer is fine. He played the entire season! If this injury had happened in the middle of the season, he'd have sat out a game, maybe two, and nobody would have made a fuss. What is it about the World Cup that makes people so neurotic?

Re: DIE WELTMEISTER!!
Nothing neurotic about that concern. It was a rather serious injury and he is lacking match practice. Neuer is not Casillas and hence far from being over the hill, but match practice is important. He needs to be at 100% from the start, and that is a risk.

Just shows the Germans have gone soft. What would Otto say about those photos? They are symptomatic of the feminisation of Germany, from which Die Mannschaft is not exempt.

With this mentality, that is shared by the Germany staff and even some players unfortunately, it's no wonder that we won't win fuck all for years to come...

Jetzt. Und Sie? Was glauben Sie?
2002: Finale. 2006: Halbfinale. 2010: Halbfinale.

Re: DIE WELTMEISTER!!
Ralf Rangnick: "Özil hasn't evolved his game tactically in the last few years. A very gifted player, but his defensive game ("Spiel gegen den Ball") has huge weaknesses."
Rangnick indirectly criticises Wenger also: "Özil would be a more complete player today if he had moved to Dortmund or Bayern two years ago."

Harsh, but there is some truth in it.

Tonight is Germany's 100th World Cup game. Germany is the first country to reach that mark. Brazil will reach that mark in this tournament also, as they've played 2 games less than Germany. However, they played in two more World Cups than Germany did.

Who cares about points - Brazil won more titles, that's what really counts. Germany just has been extremely consistent over the years, but lost too many finals.
We'll overtake Brazil on the scoring in future.

Holland 4th!! When you put it on points a game.
Anyway, I just love how slow Low is learning. He just goes by the systems as games goes by. But today it's 4-3-3. And that's always a good system in my eyes. Must be because he saw van Gaal out there I guess.
Also, im gonna help him a bit more now. If I were him I would play the 1995 version from the c**ts.
------------Neuer-----------
Lahm-----Howedes--Hummels---Boateng
--------Schweini------Kroos-----
------------Ozil/Gotze/Kroos------------------
Mueller------Gotze/Klose------Reus/Schurrle
Not sure if that's the best 11 Low can field, but it's imo the best system that suits the squad. And the later should always be of most importance.

i don`t think thats an option
this would be an 4-2-3-1
now we play 4-3-3 with 3 hardworking midfielders, put özil on the 10 and you have just 2 hardworking players, also it`s easy to take özil out of the game, now he feels not the pressure, its a bit like Miki for Dortmund, the pressure was to huge, so klopp put him on the flank
özil/götze on the flank is like playing with 5 midfielders, like italy or spain do, both provide some genius, pace and dribbling skills, while the likes of schürrle and poldi mostly add pace and goal threat, perfect for the bench role
---------------lahm(kramer)
khedira(kramer)--------------kroos/schweini
schürrle/özil------müller/klose-------götze/poldi

Re: DIE WELTMEISTER!!
I was positively surprised about Khedira yesterday, thought he had a good match, too. Lahm in central midfield covering for them gets the best of Kroos, Khedira and Schweinsteiger, who are no DMs, but #8s. Löw has finally understood this. As I said before the match yesterday, playing a 4-3-3 system suits Germany, we had to re-inforce the center against counter attacks. As a consequence, our defence looked very comfortable, too, Hummels in particular.
Lahm looked bad a few times in the beginning of the match, but got hold of himself later on and played well, too. Hope he got used to his new role now and that he doesn't take those naps in future...
