I've told you before, if you look at the last month or 2 Pardew is an ok coach, if you look at the last 2/3 years you can't rate him. The media like to call fans fickle, but they're the ones that only look at short term results.

the return of Benteke is crucial, he's a step above any of our other attackers. it's been demonstrated quite plainly in the last few weeks that he is the difference between us drawing or winning games. 3 game suspension: all draws. Two matches back in the team, two wins.

hopefully Delph is back soon, esp if Westwood's injury is bad. I'll also be interested to see what happens when Vlaar and Senderos are fit because Clark & Okore have done well since coming in & actually making me think it wouldn't be too bad if we sold Vlaar in January.

can be a frustrating player but he is the stalwart of the team & played a key role in the winner today.

England would not do that bad by playing both Milner and Agbonlahor on opposit sides for the first sixty minutes to wear out defenders then bring on specialist like Stirling,Oxlade-Chamberlain,

The game is in New Orleans (basically an Alabama home game) but Ohio St. will bring over 50 thousand fans down south. Alabama is perceived as the best team this season, but Ohio St. gelled late and have played/looked the best the last three games of the season - they utterly destroyed darn good Wisconsin 59-0 in the Big Ten Championship game. This is one colossal encounter, the TV ratings will go off the charts.

Oregon (Kings of the West) are the most exciting team with their high-octane offense and Heisman trophy favorite quarterback Marcus Mariotta clash against Florida St. (last season's champions and still unbeaten) who happen to have last year's Heisman trophy winner, their quarterback Jameis Winston who feels disrespected by not being mentioned for the award this season; he's still undefeated as a player.

Both games could easily be considered the Final and no one would be bitching.

Historical comparisons of the teams:
Alabama = Barcelona (After winning everything in recent years, took a step back and reloaded to try to reach the top again)

Ohio State = Bayern Munich (perennial force, more championship losses than wins but a big team never the less)

Oregon = Chelsea/Manchester City/PSG (the newest force in the game)

Florida State = Real Madrid (formidable force in the past and came back last season after many barren years)

As expected, Southampton's season was going to start when they played Villa. Since then...its one point. Nontheless, if the end 5th above Spurs, which they should, they have done great.

My entire family has ties to Auburn, so we hate Alabama. FSU are a bunch of dicks. Their QB actually raped a girl, and got away with it. Oregon fans think they're better than they are, and Ohio State plays in a crappy conference so it's hard to judge them. And Meyer is a dick. So, not that thrilled.
