I love this post from another Mancunian so much! So many nails are hit.

Seriously, why are they always so rubbish?

Even when they were good they were rubbish. Even when they were challenging for fourth and when they got it, they still bottle it against all the big teams, every time. When you play Spurs as a big team you know it's an easy three points for the most part.

They always under perform every season after spending millions upon millions on players that you think are going to be good and then end up crap. How on earth Daniel Levy hasn't been sacked I don't know, squandering so much money on nothing but crap.

Why are they so bad at identifying and signing a striker capable of doing the business?

How does Soldado go from being a 25ish goal a season striker to Torres mk.II?
Why on earth would they ever rely on Adebayor?
They were forever linked with Leandro Damiao and he's crap n'all.

Even players they get that are actually very good like Hugo Lloris suddenly start looking average playing for them, or perhaps they weren't actually very good to begin with?

I just don't understand how they're forever in this cycle and seemingly do nothing about it. Horrendously mismanaged club.

Forever Arsenal's bitch as well and Arsenal are basically the same thing as them but to us, City and Chelsea.

Though Tbf we havent won there for a while now I belive.

As for the Manu-Pool game, everyone expects a trashing of Liverpool, which means it will end in a draw.

Free, versatile and experienced squad-fodder: I think that was about the limit of the thinking. think he only got a 2 year contract so hopefully won't have to put up with him too long.

    --

made it to half time goalless. not a big achievement as WBA are shite, their only tactic is to try and pressure the ref into giving them a penalty. Would be interesting if we snuck a goal on the break, think the fans would seriously turn against the manager/team as this is now absolute must-win for them.

Not that we will but a win tomorrow would move us within 3 of Southampton and within 4 of United and the best team in the world, West Ham. We'd also be pretty close to Arsenal. Considering how utterly shite we've been that's not too bad - but as I said we aren't winning.

City doing their absolute best to stay near Chelsea so fair play but injuries are surely going to end their title challenge soon.

I actually agree with Luis, think we were great today despite being massively pissed off with Wenger this season.

Newcastle hardly left their half in the 1st 25 minutes and it was not by choice. We harried and pressed them whenever they got the ball, and I think Welbeck's goal (to make it 2-0) should have stood which would have been the correct reflection of the performance of both teams at that point.

We couldn't sustain our pressing for the entire half and Newcastle nearly took advantage by creating very good chances towards the end of the half. We were clearly the better team in the 2nd half and our performance deserved the 3 goals we scored.

True, we didn't look top class defensively but that was to be expected, we had a RB at CB for the 1st time in his career and a rookie RB (who was impressive going forward btw), and Mertesacker playing on the left side of defence where he isn't comfortable.

Without doubt one of our best performances of the season.

    Torn with that team selection:

Mignolet should have been dropped a long time ago. Jones is awful but Mingolet is like playing with ten men most of the time, he's become so bad that he might need to retire.

Kolo and Sakho left out for Skrtel and/or Johnson is irritating and stubborn.

Lambert has ran his race (though I don't think he actually did any running) so our 3 most creative players are preferable to pretending Markovic is any good or that Balotelli will look even half assed for this.

Still going with 2-0 to United.
