If Liverpool lose at Arsenal and United beat Villa, gap will be 8points and probably over.

Most likely but United will lose to Chelsea after that so the gap may be back to 5 or so and they still have City and Everton away.

2-0 Chelsea already, that will be the final score. Mourinho will shut the game down and bore everyone silly.

What an entertaining set of games. This is why people watch the EPL, for the drama. Brilliant stuff from Hull.

Very big of Gerrard to apologise to his teammates and supporters afterwards. I'm sure his stamp hurt them a lot more than Anders Herrera Rolling Eyes

He has to do whatever he can to preserve his legacy. As you've alluded to, I didn't hear him apologise to Herrera.

For the first time since 2002 I did not watch a single full EPL match, I just watched a few minutes of the Liverpool vs. club of satan.

I knew that the EPL had turned to shite some time ago, but the complete failure of its teams in both the CL and EL really turned me off - and I'm a fan of the league, that's why I'd followed it for so long.

Never the less, a man can only take so much shite, and it doesn't matter how they try to camouflage it by now calling it "entertaining" since they stopped calling it "the best league in the world" lol! the reality is that the league is SHITE! and I don't like to eat SHITE! Biggrin <Ale>

Its about the WHOLE package that gives you the ultimate EPL experience, a small piece of England abroad. Thats what its making so good.

I went to an Irish pub yesterday, and had the complete EPL experience, overpriced shitty beer, loads of pgd, stale farts, drama, and a racist evertonian who wanted to slit Martinez and Lukaku.

As for Stevie, I still cant believe how awesome it was. When I was a kid they had Motd in the morning, guess it was a repeat. They showed the new Owen, it was Stevie, who got red I believe for a mental tackle in one of his first games. Now at the end of his career, he does the same fucking thing.

Fucking circle of life right there.

What makes for a really interesting watch is Barcelona / Real Madrid winning games 4 or 5 nil. Or Bayern hitting 8 like a few weekends ago. Ale

The standard at the top of the EPL has dropped, but that has only made it more interesting. Blow out games are a rarity these days, the minnows are making the so called big boys struggle more regularly than its been for awhile.

That said, I'll leave this one to the experts: the two most vocal posters about the EPL.and it's apparent state are one that has now openly admitted to watching no full games this year, the other an avid teletexter.... Laughing

    Barca lost 4 games...Chelsea 2
    Madrid lost 6 games..City 5

Its true that every now and then a Cordoba or an Elche gets fucked till they are all bloody. And a Hull or a Villa wont give in that easily and try to hold their pants on. But thats not because they are much better then Cordoba or Elche, no its because Barca and Madrid are that much better then City and Chelsea. And the fact parking the bus is not so much a thing in La Liga, everyone can play ball. Basically La liga is a better version of the Eredivisie. We have the same scorelines.

But all in all they have their advantages. EPL is indeed more entertaining, but La Liga has way better football. Bundesliga would be the most competative league, if it wasnt for Bayern....according to teletext that is.

    I agree Fey.

Just as an interesting side note: here is Özil - he of Madrid/la liga and Bundesliga experience - just claimed in a German newspaper interview that the Premier League is the best in the world because opponents never give up:

So it's not always just Englanders or the Media peddling this stuff. Blame the players too! Laughing

Even after getting humiliated in Europe the DPL fanboys still insist it's the best league in the world. Laughing

The DPL is just a money league, I won't call it the EPL because there is nothing English about it anymore.

Ozil is talking out of his arse, though, he looks rubbish here.

Nontheless, the EPL is still the most entertaining league in my eyes, but not the best.
