    Post by shizzle787 Sat Jul 04, 2015 5:55 pm

My personal EARLY predictions for upcoming Serie A season:
    1. Juventus
    2. Roma
    3. Milan
    4. Inter
    5. Napoli
    6. Fiorentina
    7. Lazio
    8. Sampdoria
    9. Genoa
    10. Torino
    11. Udinese
    12. Palermo
    13. Bologna
    14. Atalanta
    15. Verona
    16. Chievo
    17. Sassuolo
    18. Empoli (losing Rugani is going to hurt)
    19. Carpi
    20. Frosinone

Coppa Italia (final): Napoli over Fiorentina

    Serie A sides in Europe:
    Juventus: CL semifinals
    Roma: CL Round of 16
Lazio: bounced in Playoff Round of CL, EL Round of 16 (I get the feeling they don't care about the EL)
    Fiorentina: EL quarterfinals
    Napoli: EL finalists
Sampdoria: out in Playoff Round of EL

If Roma are the second best team in your league then you're fucked. Not good enough to challenge Juventus, shit in Europe etc.

The football in Serie A is getting worse every year, to the point where I now choose to watch Ligue 1 instead. Their are only a handfull of teams that play good football - Juventus, Fiorentina, Lazio and Udinese. The rest of the teams play negative shit on a stick "football".

And it's a shame seeing a club like Milan reduced to the joke it is now, they are miles behind the Ibra, Robinho days, never mind the Ancelotti or Sacchi days.

Have you not noticed how much money Italian clubs have been throwing around this summer? Next season is going to be a lot better.

I don't see them signing many quality players though. Apart from the clubs I mentioned above I only have hope for Inter Milan this season, and they just sold two of their best players (Shakiri and Kovacic). But overall they have made some good signings.

Jojo's injury time goal celebration took me back to the good old times, shit that was crazy! Pazza I tell you, completely pazza. The coach, the players & the ultras reacting like they have won the treble again! Even at home, my 2 yr old son was on his knees screaming "Yes, Yes, YES!" at the top of his voice (though there is a chance that he may just have been imitating me).

Oh Inter, I have missed you. That felt good.

I am not sure you have been following them this summer... Roma have had the best summer, seriously invested in a lot of quality players like Dzeko, Salah, Ibarbo, Falque, Rudiger, Gerson, Szczesny, etc. Milan, Inter and Juventus have also spent a lot of money - all 4 have spent over €100 million! None of these clubs play defensive football these days.

Good news is that the other 3 and Napoli dropped points, while Inter won the first match... fairytale start Smile

He'll need a lot of time, and some more new players, especially in midfield.

We played a good game untill Ely got sent off... And both goals came from set-pieces

Agree with Blue, Miha seems to be a good coach... The first time I saw Milan players can string 5 passes together for years

Today we will see how good Roma are. The first Serie A game of the season for worms. I can't wait to see what a new look Juventus team play like, Fey said they will be weaker without Tevez, Pirlo and Vidal but worms doesn't believe they will because of quality signings like Khedira, Cuadadro, Dybala, Alex Sandro and Manzukic. Because of the signing of Dybala and the sharp delince of Pirlo, I believe Juve will only miss the World Class Vidal.

Juve sitting in their own penalty area like pussy's. This is why I don't like Serie A, every game seems to be an attacking team versus a parked bus. Either that or shit nontechnical football by both teams which results in a game with no chances.

Didn't expect Inter to rise this fast although I'm hearing you aren't actually playing well but mostly being solid and getting points. Their goals per game ratio suggests as much. Very Happy
What do you say Bluey? Can you really challenge for the title?

Given that Juventus are struggling this is the year for Roma. Would be a massive fail if they can't exploit that.

It will be a huge achievement if this Inter makes the Top 3. Its just been 5 games. We have been reasonably solid at back, but quite blunt in attack. Its quite fortunate that we have won every game with an odd goal, it so easily could have been 5 draws and another crisis.
