Isn't he? Everytime I've seen him up until recently he's always played as the left-sided centreback. And given he's comfortable with either foot, it's easy to assume Smile

Why is Neville even in the England squad?
McClaren dropped Beckham because he is 31 and is past his best, he think that by the next Tournaments in 2 years and another in 4 years Beckham will be too old to feature... i think the same should be with Gary Neville as he is 31, past his best and won't play in Euro 08 or WC 2010 so why keep him now if he is not in our plans for the future?

Richards & Young are so much younger & quicker than Gary Neville that i think it is their turn to be given a chance!

Gary Neville you have played in WC98, EU00, WC02, EU04 & WC06... now its time to give another RB his chance!

New look England team for 08

Woa, what a performance from young Richards, think he is a must starter now at RB

I think G.N days are numbered or gone even!

Shame Agbonlahor was not in the senior squad

He did well vs. Robben, but He showed very little in the footballing sense.

it's gonna take more than that to oust Gaz neville I'm afraid. A lot more.

G.Nev is so far ahead of his competition that it's depressing.

I can still see him being there for WC 2010, no joke.

No way. He's only standing out in the Villa team because no one else has pace like he does in their line-up.

Routledge has out-shone him in the U21's time & again.

I think Routledge is getting seriously overhyped - I've seen him play three times this season - twice on tV and once live and each time he has been chronically unimpressive - besides, hes not a striker and Gabby is.

Just like he has in all those times United have played Chelsea, right? Rolling Eyes

I'm exposing you as a Liverpool fan who has an obvious problem with Gary Neville.

He's always been one of England's better players at major Intl. tournaments.

Gonzalez played crap against United, Gonzalez played crap most games.. Robben was at his very best yesterday, robben plays twice as good when for holland so yea i think Neville would not of stood a chance!

A selfish Robben is a world class Robben and for holland he is selfish

Gabby had a few Sub appearances last season, and a few good games to start this one.

If anyone's getting overhyped, it's him.

He's a limited talent compared to Routledge.

I don't have nothin against Neville but when are you gonna realise that Richards is better than Gary Neville and talkin about experience well it looked like Richards had 3, 4 years International exoerience so i think at the end of the day the better player should be picked and that is by a country mile.......... Richards!!!

I know as you are a Man Utd fan its gonna be hard for you to take as Richards plays down the road from Old Trafford for Man City but oh well.

Routledge has been unbelieveably shit but Agbonalahor has hardly been amazing either. Couple of goals here and a burst of pace there and suddenly he's being talked about in relation to the England squad?
