Cech has operation Empty Cech has operation

Post by Batman Sun Oct 15, 2006 3:13 pm

Chelsea Football Club can confirm that Petr Cech was transferred to the Radcliffe Infirmary in Oxford last night (Saturday) to the specialist neuro-surgical unit.

He underwent surgery for a depressed fracture of the skull.

The operation was successful but it is too early to give an accurate assessment of his condition.

Naturally everybody at Chelsea wishes Petr, and Carlo Cudicini who was discharged last night after being knocked unconscious, a speedy recovery from their injuries.

Chelsea FC has reviewed the video of both incidents. We endorse the post-match comments of Jose Mourinho regarding the seriousness of these incidents.

Chelsea will be writing to the Football Association with our observations.

I know that when your about to play a team, you prefer if they have many players missing injured, the fact you just cant say what you think is the only thing pathetic.
I dont wish players to die or suffer long term damage, but if a rival is out injured i am happy. deal with it

Oh im dealing with it. Perhaps if you showed a tad more sympathy towards others and opposition teams then it would be a returned favour. Say Rooney breaks his leg; fans on this board wont be up in joy because of it. Say V.D.S gets kneed in the head and almost dies... Fans wont be up in joy because of it...

Ahh fair play, I did kind of want him to be out for a while - though in my defence, I tuned in 2 minutes in so didn't actually realise it was a head injury - I'd like to see him back as quick as possible now though. Regardless of how much he takes away from Chelsea as a footballing team, he is a talented individual who doesn't deserve his career cut short.

    Get well soon Cech Ale
