Spaletti has done the impossible, something even Capello struggled with... He has tamed the big cat of the brat pack, he has humbled the outspoken idiot Totti...
Totti has always been known for his stupid quotes, and playing the media circus by acting like a big headed fool... many coaches have tried to control this, but whoever took Totti head on in the press lost his job soon after....
Spaletti not only took on Totti head on over a relatively small boast, he did it publically in the press, AND managed to get a public apology out of Totti.
My respect of Spaletti goes up another notch... I think he is the best coach in Serie A, and the ideal candidate to lead the azzurri charge to defend the world cup... great tactician, great disciplinarian.

Francesco Totti has admitted that Luciano Spalletti was right to criticise him for talking up Roma’s chances of winning the Scudetto.
The Giallorossi captain had claimed on Tuesday that his team was still one of the main candidates for the League title.
Spalletti did not share the player’s enthusiasm, inviting him to “think carefully before saying this kind of thing,” as he believes the No 10 is the first one who needs to improve and give more to the team.
“What Spalletti said is correct – myself as a captain, the Coach and all the rest of the players must give even more if we want to achieve great results and please our supporters,” said Totti.
“We are a very united group, we discuss things every day and try to understand what we can do to improve.
“And it is only fair that I, being the captain, should be the first one to do so,” added the world champion.
Roma will host southern minnows Ascoli on Wednesday night at the Stadio Olimpico, as the Giallorossi look to return to winning ways, after the disappointing results against Reggina and Chievo.
Spalletti seems set to start with Totti and Vincenzo Montella upfront, but rumours suggest Mirko Vucinic could also get his chance in the second half.
