Not a bad pick.. but I wouldn't have put Dos Santos and Bojan in the "one to watch" category.

If La Liga provided UEFA Cup and CL winners, then isnt it quite obvious the Super Cup would also be won by a Spanish Side? Sky idiots. Plus they forgot to add that Spanish sided didnt win the World Club championship, so they didnt provide the lot...
pedantry aside, I quite like Ballague, he seems to know what he's talking about. Sevilla could well be team of the year though; player of the year David Villa, other than that not sure much he's writtne there could be argued. Hope Navas comes on this year, it would be nice to see him overcome hiss lillness

Interesting that he identifies Krkic, where do Barca find these kids?
The dinho goal didn't impress me that much, surely there's better?
and can Eto'o be player of the season if he misses 3 months. I'd still put dinho ahead of him

I actually don't really know, but we must have some excellent youth scouts. There is only about 40-50 spots at La Masía so it really limits the number of players that can be brought in from outside Barcelona.

I reckon its something far more sinister involving surveillance of every sports pitch in the world with an underground network of tunnels that the Barca 'agents' use to traverse the world undetected and nab the kids

Seems like a certain club has found our London network of tunnels and use them to sneak into the La Masía at night, leaving a candy trail all the way back to England

i was surprised that he put Bojan their as well not so much 2 Saint, when i don't really see him in the team until the 09/10 season Unless he knows something we don't and Bojan he was better than we ever thought he was.

It appeared that the London tunnel had been disused by the Barcelnoa agents for well over 15 years and that attempts had been made to sabotage it to prevent unwanted 'talentless footballers' from breaking into La Masia

what if by some strange coincidence we were after sito though and rijkaard was quite happy to let him go. then you'd be stuck with a shit Bojan Krkic and we'd have a true wonderkid

They can Have jeffern because i sadly don't think he will make it at barca,Not because he isn't go enough but because their are too many player fighting for the same Position.
Unless he is willing to wait until Dinho Guily,Santi and Dinho leaves.

Jeffren just got pushed back to the C team, so I doubt he will stay much longer.

I think the kid to look out for in spain is Javi Martínez. For someone so young to play as composed and matured in midfield as he does is fucking brilliant, it's a surprise no one mentions him at all.

Agreed. Zidane's goal against Sevilla from an amazing Guti backheel pass was better, just to give an example. But nowadays bycicle kick goals are becoming more and more rare so they are bound to be overhyped to some level.

Re: Balaque(idiot) la liga picks of 2006
Don't have much to argue with the choices - all pretty uncontentious I think. Things like the Goal of the Year or Match of the Year everyone would have their own favourites and yes, Balague would of course choose the Copa del Rey final
However I was surprised to read...
'He has punished Mahamadou Diarra and Antonio Cassano, he has called Ronaldo fat,'
What, nobody at Madrid had called him fat before?

I'm most interested in Marc Valiente...Puyol and Marquez are both nearing 30 and we'll need to start looking at defenders, so hopefully he can step up from our youth team and be better than Oleguer.

Re: Balaque(idiot) la liga picks of 2006
Clear bias in the cup final. For me was the Real's trip to Sevilla on the last day of the season, excellant match. As has been said, I didn't think the Ronaldinho goal was that good. I had loads of my mates telling me it was the best they had ever seen and I was desperately trying to tell them that it was poor goalkeeping and a good o-h kick, nothing more. Tbh, it is hard to pick one, I think the Tamudo gaol the other week was just as impressive. Other than that, all agreed with his picks.
