    .

I don't agree that Drogba is top 10. His form has always been very very good, it's just his goalscoring which was poor. But the number of assists he got in the 4-5-1 system was ridiculous.

In a 4-5-1, he doesn't score many goals, but his contribution was excellent.

In 4-4-2, he's added goalscoring and proven to be the most 'complete attribute-wise' striker on the planet. <Ale>

Maybe having Eto'o number 4 is a bit harsh, but I seriously think Drogba is a better overall striker, even if he does score fewer goals

I will be willing to consider him in the top 5 once he has scored 20+ in the league for 3 seasons or so.. How can you say that he is better than for instance Toni, when he manages to score regularly for an average team in the serie A?

Drogba has got the world's most expensive team around him to back him up..

It's not just about his goalscoring though is it? Otherwise half the strikers on the planet that are considered 'world class' wouldn't be so.

Drogba is one of the best strikers in the world defensively, beats players, has brilliant strength, pace, dominant in the air, and plays people in superbly. All that was missing was goals, and now that the goals are coming, I think he'd probably get into any team in the world.

Don't get me wrong.. I would love to see Drogba in Blaugrana... He would be in the centre, with Eto'o playing off him, Ronaldinho cutting in from the left and Messi from the right.. (not sure if it would work though Wink)

I just think that Drogba wouldn't be able to do as well in a smallish team where his teammates weren't able to break up the defense.. he is very good at holding up the ball but reliant on others to disorganise the defense. (against us he did very well with the goal though)

Although I wouldn't class them as a small team, he more or less took Marseille to the UEFA Cup final on his own.

Luis Figo -- One of the best winger the world has ever seen, plays with some much skill and flair.

Zidane -- The most magicial player since Diego Maradonna, some of the stuff he just does (I.E. Goal against Depo, took on a defender feinted 4 and scored)
Goal in the CL final was a beauty too Cool

    Those are my two idols/favs.

Didier Drogba = he's the One Man gang!

Robbie Keane - Unpredictable Irishman, record scorer for his country.

J.Cole - Most naturally talented England squad member at present.

Ledley King - My Club captain, and on his way to becoming one of the best defenders in the world.

Rio Ferdinand - The one genuinely English World Class player.

    C. Ronaldo - The Heir to Figo, and maybe even better than that.

Samuel Eto'o - Tremendous all round forward.

Roberto Ayala - Modern day legendary defender.

Phillip Lahm - The German Maldini.

Gigi Buffon - As a 'keeper, he's near flawless.

I'll think of a few more soon. Ale

Dani Alves - Just because he'd be perfect for us.

Quagliarella - just for his recent goals.

    Di Michele - See Quagliarella.

Anatoliy Tymoschuk - The Ukranian Roy Keane.

Matuzalem - Silky passing, sweet left-foot.

Dimtro Chygrynsky - Great in the air. The best defender - when he's actually played - in the Ukraine. Will be in a bigger and better league sooner rather than later.

Artem Milevskiy - one of the best players in the U21 tournament last summer. His penalty against the Swiss at the world cup was the best moment of the game.

Mancini - He may play for Roma, but he's just incredible on either flank. Could do so much better... really. Best winger in Europe?

Kaka - as an attcking midfielder he is Perfection
Sergio Aguero - An awesome talent as we all know.
Christian Chivu - A Class Act
Ryan Giggs - Fergie's best player to come from the youth set up (along with Scholes of course)
Dani Alves - Whatever Obi said on him I agree.

Koevermans - My favourite Sparta player. Very nice and humble and extremly underrated, especially in Europe.
Emnes - The most exciting youngster of Sparta at the moment. He has skill, pace, shot. Watch out for him.
Kaka - The way he moves, the way he handles a ball. It's just pure magic.
Kuyt - A great person with a great personality. Gives always 120%. Also a loyal servant.
Aissati - Outplayed the Milan midfield at age 17. Little fellow who used to be bullied.
Robben - Although he has his antics he is still a very exciting player to watch. On form the best winger around.
Essien - He proved his doubters wrong. With some superb performances he showed that he is one of the best midfielders around.
deFauw - Used to be a loyal servant of Sparta before moving to Roda JC. Is closing to a position in the Belgium squad and has improved greatly.
Giggs - My favourite ManUnt player. Brilliant player no explanation needed.
Samaras - Very good player with bags of technique.
Cech - For me the best keeper in the world.
Albelda - Great magnificent player. Hope to see him one day in the EPL.
Navas - Sevilla can be proud of such an exciting youngster.

    Lots more....

Not yet, although the last year he's really grown on me, especially the way he has played this season, despite the flak he has received.

I didn't really like his attitude the early part of last season, its really improven though.

Its virtually the same with Ferdinand, since his contract dispute.

Now that Bergkamp has retired I need another style over substance hero...

For sheer class, creativity and ability no one beats Rafael van der Vaart as far as I'm concerned. By far my favourite player, a shame that he's injured all the time though Sad

My new favourite striker is AZ's Dembele, the guy is just 19 but it looks like he's got it all : strength, speed, control and ability to score goals.

There are not much defenders with a lot of flair so I'll go for Brazilian Alex at PSV who's a rock for them and also a very likeable character (off the pitch) and Anton Ferdinand who I predict will be as good as Rio was at Leeds.

For control in midfield I really like Holland's future star linkup player : Demi de Zeeuw.

In goal it's between Van der Sar, Waterreus (both massively underrated and true leaders)....but nice guy Brazilian Gomes from PSV just edges it because youth has the future Wink

And last (but not least) I'll mention a player who leads by example : Dirk Kuyt.
