Dinho was the best actor last night - he was so convincing that even I thought he was shit until he actually bothered to do something and set up the goal for 2-1. Thenceforth he was shit again. Maybe he's been training with Stuart Downing, you know, getting all his mannerisms down, getting into his mindset. It's called Method Acting, and derives from the work of dramatic theorist and director Stanislavski.
What's amusing about the 2-1 goal was that for ten minutes prior to it I'd been complaining about Barca's habit of always passing to one of the two players nearest to them, and how if they actually bothered to hit a crossfield ball once in a while that they might find some space. Barca hit the second crossfield pass to Ronaldinho of the whole game, he gets a one on one with the meathead Chelsea call a rightback, suddenly wakes up and realises that he's in a football match and not a Nike advert, and beats his man and provides a lovely cross.
Then did nothing for the rest of the game.
