If Tottenham are to end their Chelsea jinx in the league on Bonfire Night (32 Games), one of the key question must be whether Ledley King, possibly the best Centre Back not involved in the Champions League can contain the "One Man Gang" Didier Drogba, who after his awesome start to the season, has been further buoyed by the announcement that he signed a contract extension (and I assume, a massiv pay-hike) until 2010.

Drogba's nearly unplayable, but King has this tendency to rise to the occasion, in terms of big games and big player marking. He will have the most in form player at this Precise moment, in his pocket

Drogba is possibly the only forward in world football who can take ANY defenders to the cleaners. I'd love to see it be a good battle though, instead of the hyped up "Henry v Gallas" when Chelsea played Arsenal. All that happened in those matches was Henry running through leaving Gallas on his arse.
As long as Ledley gets tight on Drogba, he might have more success, but we've all seen that Drogba can produce 'something out of nothing' in tight spaces (Liverpool, Barcelona)

:lol!:
Henry should've had 2 goals in the last fixture at Highbury because he completely raped Gallas. One hit the inside of the post, the other was wrongly given offside.

King will teach Drogbreath a lesson in the art of defending I have no doubt.
Problem is, stop the Drogster, and then there's still Sheva/Robben/Colex2/Ballack/Lamps/Essien to contain.
Chavski to win 2-1

From what I've heard (and reports that I've read), that sounds like quite a match-up at the training ground. Hopefully I'll go to Cobham and watch them train one day (when I can get time off work).
I wonder who wins the aerial battle? (as brilliant as Drogba is, my money would be on Terry)

We'll he's got to face the big boys eventually. Bullying Terry in training doesn't impress the best, like LedleyBallack wrote:wait a second. Drogba isnt playing Against Terry on sunday. Hes playing some loser called King..

I can't wait till we play Arsenal, and Drogba has Gallas on his arse the same way Chairee Onree used to.

Drobga is brilliant at cushioned headers down in to the path of team-mates yet not great at headers on goal (still good though - just something I've noticed) - same as Heskey.

He also battered and bruised Dawson at times, but it wasn't the best Didi performance.

nah to be honest I thought drogba did pretty well. dawson handled him well though. pretty pointless criticising players after both teams have had such a brilliant game (apart from lampard (hoof), boula and ferreira of course )

Both Men can go away feeling proud. King - what a tackle on Robben.. Drogs had a goal disallowed through no fault of his own.
