Are Liverpool out of the Title Race?
The question had to be asked. The gap is now 14 points after they failed to get anything from Arsenal, is this overrated team really good enough to close that gap???

Silly thread, they were out of it before today.
There 14 points now and about 20 goals difference behind.

It would be foolish to rule them out. They are capable of going on winning runs nobody else is, rafa's teams always start bad.
This policy to rotate players maybe costing them points, but it is good for fitness, so watch out!

They could go on a winning streak of 9 and unbeaten in 18 games, but still won't come touching distance of Chelsea/Man U......Because of there efficiency...

Er, most probably, unless they manage to go on a run like united did in 1996 - although that would require both Man Utd and Chelsea going on an awful run like Newcastle did

I agree, but some of the board Pool fans thought they were still well in with a chance.Parks Lives wrote:Silly thread, they were out of it before today.

Yes.
But atleast we're through in Europe and not in a relegation battle.
Sack the board.

It's a big blow for Liverpool, but I don't think they're out yet. And, most importantly, we'll soon see what they're made of. I predict Liverpool will sort things out by late December.

Re: Are Liverpool out of the Title Race?
Late december is too late, they had to sort things out about a month ago. They haven't and it's over, simple as IMO.Puro wrote:Kimbo wrote:The question had to be asked. Re: Are Liverpool out of the Title Race?
so what will it mean no champions league football next season?
I think they'll squeeze it only because there is no team like Tottenham last season who have that extra quality

Calm down.
Kimbo had to wade through the Anti-newcastle threads yesterday (of which I contributed being in a bad mood).

I don't begrudge Kimmy doing this. Good on him, it's one of the few bright spots he has to look forward to this year.
Atleast he sticks it out through the week unlike certain other posters.

Re: Are Liverpool out of the Title Race?
2) Gerrard par excellance
A world class player that is frequently the difference between us and them, regularly stepping up to score the crucial goal or turn a match. All title winning teams need at least one and our one is as good as any of the current crop. He outdid Kaka and Pirlo in Istanbul and generally outperforms anyone he’s up against.
