I just thought it would be fair to tell Werder Bremen, and any neutral spectators, that we are planning a few changes for the final game in the CL group play... all for improving the game and spectacle of course..
1) Oval Pitch
Inspired by Aussie rules and Cricket, we will change the Camp Nou pitch ever so slightly eliminating the corners. Everybody will be happy to know that this will stop those annoying breaks in the game for corner kicks that only serve to disrupt the rythm of the game
2) Football not "Headball"
In the spirit of the game, the encounter will be played with a slight change to the current rules. The head, will be treated the same as arms and hands, and it will therefore be illegal for players other than the goalkeepers to use these bodyparts to control the ball.
3) Everybody likes rythm
To allow the maximum spectacle and promote tricks and dribbles, any physical contact with an opposing player will be deemed a foul. Therefore no shouldertackles should disrupt the technical players from doing their magic!!
4) Football is a TEAM sport
The teams should be equal from the start of the game, and therefore there will be an official weigh in before the match. The teams should have the same "mass" in order for the game to be fair.
In conclusion expect a game where there won't be any BORING corners, no annoying headers, amazing dribbles and for once, two teams that aren't composed of just athletes, but FOOTballers (though it might mean that FC Barcelona fields 13 players to Werder's 11 due to the principal of team "mass")
I hope our dear Werder Bremen opponents agree that this is all in the interest of the game
