Etoo, we'll score lots of goals, though based on current form Gudjohnsen will get a good amount. Add in Ronaldinho and Messi's contributions and things are looking tasty!
But as you said in our thread LSR, I'm worried about our defence. We don't seem to have learned.

Aguero doesn't deserve to be on that list IMO, there is no way he'll be anywhere near top scorer

I think Villa will put in a strong challenge as Valencia have none else (apart from Morientes who has been shit the last two years) to score their goals.
However, it is impossible to look past Samuel.

If he stays fit, yeah, I think he can do it. I'm only backing him so much because I intend on putting some cash on him though. Heart more than head, definitely. I don't think it's too unreasonable to suggest that he could do it though.

Yeah i agree with you, i have got him at 100/1 both outright and each way. He is an outsider but a very good one who has shown he is capable of scoring a lot of goals in La Liga and with Riquelme, Pires and Cani he will be given plenty of chances.

Re: 2006-2007 La Liga Top Goal Scorer
Exactly my thinking. Alot of people are forgetting aswell that his strike partners are all very good at making chances/space for their partners. Forlan's got the best movement, I think, of any striker in La Liga. He'll have no problem in dragging the centrebacks into unimportant areas, giving space to Nihat. Jose Mari is fairly nippy and quite strong aswell (even if his theatrics don't show that), so he should be able to do what Forlan does, but to a lesser extent. And Franco in particular, could be a really good match for Nihat given that he's great in the air and quite mobile for a targetman. Could be a recreation of Nihat-Kovacevic from the 2002-2003 season at Sociedad.
Villarreal are quite lucky in the sense that all of their strikers are seemingly compatable with one and other.

Yeah i think Villarreal have a good combination of strikers, plus no European campaign means there is less need for rotation unless Pellegrini sees fit so decisions might be less forced upon him.
I think Villarreal could be a real force next season, although it will be interesting to see what happens to Sorin and Senna.

i know theres no way Aguero will finish top goal scorer but i just put his name up there because he is one of my fav up and coming players. He reminds me of Romario alot.

No question it will be Ruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuud! By a mile....
He will score more tap ins and Penalties than ever and he doesn't have to play international games for Oranje anymore so he plays a lot of games!

Re: 2006-2007 La Liga Top Goal Scorer
I voted eto'o because i think he is the best striker in spain but i think it will be villa because he takes all free kicks and penalties and knows his team mates better than he did last season.
The reason i don't think ruud will win it is because i'm not too sure he'll be a regular, people are too dismissive of ronaldo but i think he's still got. I remember before his injury last season, he was actually the best striker in spain. However if ruud nails down a starting spot , he is a very good shout to win it.

Yes, he means Super Maxi Lopez who is on loan from Barca to Mallorca. He may well do it, you know!

Maxi had already scored one in an earlier pre-season game. So 1-1, and Maxi gets the edge because he scored first
