Sir Alex Ferguson feels Edwin van der Sar can play for at least another two years after admitting the keeper has enjoyed a new lease of life since joining Manchester United.
Van der Sar is in his second season at Old Trafford, having joined the club from Fulham back in 2005.
His reliability between the posts ended a difficult period for United in trying to find a replacement for Peter Schmeichel.
Ferguson is full of praise for Van der Sar's impact at United and believes the 36-year-old has more seasons left in him.
"He's probably got a new lease of life, coming to United," Ferguson told Inside United.
"He did well at Fulham having been at Juventus previously, but coming to us has given him an extra spur that a lot of goalkeepers get at that age.
"He's fit, he's lean, he's hungry and he can play for another two years, easy. It all depends on what he wants.
"He's good in the dressing room, too.
"He's not a terribly demonstrative person - he's not like Schmeichel, for instance -
but what he says has got an authority about it because he's been there and that experience and personality is helping."

How long will it take before the crazy Sir will load him off...? Just like what he did with his "other" best friend Ruud van Nistelrooy...?
