the way things stand, Feyenoord is through (cue Fey, Guzman), Ajax as well (cue Rai), Hapoel and PSG as well, as are eintracht and Celta.

I think Espanyol needed just a point so they're through as well as of now. Sad to see Palermo go out since they're a strong-ish side, but if they're not 100% committed to the tournament then it doesn't make sense for them to progress.

Espanyol only needed a draw to top the group. They were already through.

Huntelaar scoring again surely means Ajax is out of danger and qualified. They finish second and will meet a champions league drop-out.

Eintracht's second also makes their qualification all but certain.

PSG run riot against already qualified-as-group-winners Panathinaikos. 4-0. Pauleta and kalou with a brace each.

Espanyol surely certify their status as group winners with a Pandiani strike.

Celta's Baiano strikes to all but seal the fate of Palermo. Good riddance, signori.

Fenerbahce just equalised against Frankfurt (2-2). Another German team seems to be going out. Man-o-man. Always so close.

Feyenoord surely out of trouble now. 3-1 and qualified behind Blackburn and Nancy.

Ajax' Heitinga added a 3rd to seal the match. Waregem also through as third place.

Fenerbahce scored twice to equal the score and oust Eintracht. 2-2 now. Gripping stuff there. Palermo equalized against Celta.

The way things stand, celta and Fenerbahce are through, but a single goal could change all that.

Feyenoord produced when most needed. At home to Wisla.
Blackburn accentuate the EPL's domination of European competition this year (in the initial stages, it has to be said).

PSG took full advantage of Panathinaikos' lofty situation as group winners. What will Rapid Bucarest say? Hapoel did just enough for a draw.

The most exciting group in principle was H. Celta did enough to hold on against Palermo. Fenerbahce from two goals behind dumped Eintracht.
