Make that Toulouse instead of Red Star, and Tottenham's got a nightmare scenario. You'll loving that draw IF it happens.

He was merely identifying the toughest group for them. He didn't say that they wouldn't qualify from it. You on the other hand were sure they'd struggle maybe only just coming third. There's a difference...

I would want Tottenham out through club rivalry obviously. Even that depends though...if the team they are against are mouthy c**ts and slag off the Premiership I'd want Tottenham.

I don't think the suggestion that Fiorentina are better than Spurs is "slagging off the english" in any way... its a reasonable arguement.

And Bayern ARE better than Spurs, reasonable fans would acknowledge that.

What suggestion are you on about? What I said was...if Tottenham came up against Fiorentina for example...and say Adrian Mutu and Prandelli for example started slagging off the Premiership...I'd want Tottenham to win.

I fully believe Tottenham have a better team and would beat Fiorentina.

Now now bluey. I definately remember you saying in the Euro leagues thread that you thought that Arsenal and Fiorentina were at the same level.

I'm not sure who is best of Spurs and Fiorentina. They're about the same IMO. Many people thought they had a good chance of coming third or fourth before the season started

fiorentina couldn't even win from Groningen a midtable side in the Netherlands... They were lucky on penalties... Why would it not possible for Spurs to win ?

I think this is better than Fiorentina.

Last year Spurs surprised me in the UEFA Cup, but on current form, I can't see them doing anything after the group stage. But of course that is only in Feb/March so they have time to turn things around. The tricky part right now will be managing the Thursday games while at the same time recovering their form in the league.
